This post might be coming a bit late but I can't believe that with my months of having this blog that I've never actually made a favourites post. These types of posts are actually one of my fav items to read and to also watch on YouTube. In this post I have put together my favourite makeup, body care and hair care that I've been using the most this month.

Makeup

I had to add this concealer on to my monthly favourites even though I discovered this pretty late into the month. I've been using this concealer every day for a few weeks now and I actually like it the more that I use it. If you have been reading my blog for a while you would have heard me mention how bad my under eye area creases and this concealer just sits so nicely on my skin without any creases or lines forming. I also really enjoy how many shades this concealer has made it easier for more people of all different skin tones to find their right shade. My favourite part (because you know I like a good bargain) is the price of the concealer is only £4! Which is an amazing price for such an amazing product. If you would like to read my full review, you can find it here

Before finding this highlighter I hadn't actually worn highlighter for months (I know how could I!) because all of my highlighters are really blinding, which I love but not for an everyday look. I tried this out one morning while getting ready for work and it really is perfect for a really nice subtle glow. The colour of this highlighter is more or a champagnesy gold which I think would look perfect on different skin tones. I've also started using this highlighter as a inner corner highlight for when I do different eye looks. If you like really glittery highlighters this might not be the one for you but if you like a glowy shine to the skin this would be perfect.

Another Revolution product on my list for this month is their Brow Pomade. This product is a major dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hill Dip Brow which I've mentioned in my Best Brow Products For Dark Brows post, but with this Pomade it's more than half the price! At only £6 this Brow Pomade works amazingly at doing exactly what I need it to do. It has a very creamy but still waxy consistency making it a dream to apply and stays on all day. What I also really like about this product as it keeps my unruly brows in place without needing any extra Brow gel. This product also comes in a colour dark enough for my brows, which hardly ever happeneds!

Body Care

I don't think I've ever really loved a shower product before the Rituals Foaming Gel which I received in my latest Birchbox, you can read my August Birchbox here. This shower foam smells really sweet just like the candy hearts which are my favourite. This product is such a unique one but not gimmicky which can happen sometimes. A little of the foam really goes a long way, I got this pride to at the beginning of the month and still have quite a bit left. With ingredients including sweet orange and cedar wood it makes my skin feel really refreshed and smooth after using it. I actually took this product away on holiday with me and it was perfect for keeping my skin extra moisturised.

This technically isn't body care but I had to have it on my list because of the amount I've been using it this month. I have always wanted an EOS lip balm but for £7.99 I wasn't going to I couldn't bring myself to but when I saw it in Tk Maxx for only £3.99 I had to have it! I get pretty dry lips and I find it hard to keep them from cracking but as I've started to use this lip balm everyday it's really improved. I like to use this product when I take my makeup and lipstick off to give my lips some needed hydration especially if I've been wearing a liquid lipstick. The smell of this lip balm is also amazing which is definitely a plus!

Hair Care

In my last empties post I spoke about my love for my GHD serum and while I was waiting for that to be delivered I needed a new serum as my hair was going crazy! And I found this one and have been using it ever since. With this product I like to put it in my hair before I dry it and them also a small amount once it's dry just to help with the flyaways and any frizzy bits. The product has helped keep my skin smooth and shiny but without it looking greasy. This product is also perfect to carry around in your bag for any frizzy moments during the day.

I think I might add monthly favourites into my blogging schedule as I really like writing and reading these types of posts. Have you tried out any of my August Favourites?

  1. That Elf highlighter looks absolutely gorgeous - I like the sound of it too, more of a subtle gleam than flat out blinding, haha. And I've heard such good things about the EOS lip balm - I'm going to head to TKMaxx this weekend and see if I can find some, you got a bargain there. I haven't tried any of your other favourites but I really enjoyed reading your round up, thank you for sharing! xx
