What's In My October Birchbox!

I can't actually believe its already October hasn't the year flew by! I recently received my October Birchbox and was really excited that this month you actually get 6 products instead of 5 including a perfume same and a full-size sheet mask. If you would like to take a peek at what I got in my other Birchboxes you can see them here.

Winky Lux Disco Gloss - Far Out

RRP £13.00

I was a bit sceptical about this product when I saw it because it is very glittery and purple so that scared me a bit. This product really doesn't look like something that I would usually go for but when I swatched it I was actually pretty surprised, the clear gloss gradually had a slight pink tint to it. Reading up about it the product is said to react with your skin's pH, to give you a pink tint which is suited to your skin tone. This lipgloss I think would actually look really nice as a lip topper for different lip colours. I will keep testing this product out to see how I really feel about it.

Calvin Klein Woman Eau de Parfum

RRP £39.00

This is the first time that I have got a perfume sample in a Birchbox and was happy that it was a Calvin Klein one. I haven't tried many Calvin Klein perfumes before, but I like trying out new and different scents. This scent is quite strong and powerful which I really like If your more of a floral scent lover then this perfume might not be for you. I would say this perfume would be perfect to use on special occasions and nights out instead of an everyday scent just because it has a deeper scent more sexy scent (sorry I'm not too great at describing perfumes!)

Sebamed Clear Face Care Gel

RRP £5.69

For this gel, it is a product that you use during a breakout, this product also reacts to your skins ph to help fight blemishes without irritation and that literally sounds like perfection. I decided to use this product just on the areas that I had any underlying spots that I could feel, I used it for a few nights and it really did help to improve the appearance of the spots and I actually think they reduced as well. You can actually wear this and a daily moisturiser which I will start to use more of as it has been helping my skin so much.

Amika Soulfood Nourishing Mask

RRP £20

I have always wanted to really get into the routine with my hair care, I'm really good with my skincare but with my hair, I always just seem to use the same products but when I saw that I had received a hair mask I was very excited to try it out. This mask is to fight split ends and help with dryness which I suffer from a lot as I use quite a bit of heat on my hair. I applied this mainly on the ends of my hair left it on for about 10 minutes and it did feel quite smooth and shiny after but I feel like I need to use it a few more times to truly judge. Watch this space!

Daily Concepts Multi-Functional Charcoal Soap Sponge

RRP £6

I have seen the Daily Concepts range before and have always wanted to give it a try but just never got round to actually doing it until I received this sponge. I wasn't actually too sure what it was when I saw it, it feels just like a bar of soap but its described as a sponge. This sponge is soap on the outside and a sponge on the inside, you can use this product on the skin as a daily exfoliator. This product doesn't actually say whether it should be used on your face or body but I tried it on my body first. This product has a really fresh scent and actually made my body feel really smooth after using it. I will definitely be using this more often to see more benefits.

Beauty Pro Thermotherapy Warming Gold Foil Mask RRP £5.95

Sheet masks have always been a favourite product of mine to try out, I like testing out new ones to see which ones suit my skin the most. This sheet mask is different from all the other masks that I've tried as its self-warming, The foil in this mask is what actually creates the heat when it is applied to the skin which helps the ingredients to penetrate the skin further to get more benefits. I used this mask one and really fell in love with how it made my skin feel, because of its infused hyaluronic acid helps to add extra moisture into the skin keeping it feeling extra soft.

For this box, I was very happy with the products I received and actually think I will keep using all of the products in this box and test them out a bit more! Have you tried anything from this box before?

  9. That face gel sounds amazing for the price! You seemed to get some really good stuff this month. I'm terrible at looking after my hair too! I can't remember the last time I even tried something new. I always love the idea of hair masks but I always end up skipping the step because I know I won't want to wash it out again (the laziness is real) x

    1. I was actually surprised that was the price of the gel as it worked for me so well! I always stick to the same products for my hair but it’s actually really nice product to use in the ends to help with dryness and split ends! I tend to skip it too! Xx
