Christmas is only around the corner and the time is coming to start putting the tree up and decorating (my favourite part). I usually stay at home for Christmas and only actually get out of my pyjamas just before dinner and I usually put on a bit of makeup for the festivities. In this post, I will be showing you what products I use to create an easy makeup look perfect for Christmas day.

Base

For base products, I usually keep it really simple as I don't want to spend too much time getting. The first product that I usually use is a primer, just to add a base to keep my makeup lasting all day. Recently I have been loving the Soap & Glory On Heck Of  A Blot Primer, I have used this product for a while as it creates a smooth and pore filled base. I usually apply this primer with my fingers as it warms it up slightly.

For my foundation, I either use one of two products either a liquid or powder foundation depending on how my skin is acting on the day. For the liquid foundation, I have been loving the Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude foundation which you can read about in my October favourites, What I really like about this foundation is that it literally blends in the skin in seconds making it perfect for a quick makeup look. The other foundation I would use is my Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Powder, this is perfect for quick application but you still get good coverage. I would pick to use this foundation if my skin was having an oily day.

Concealer is a must for Christmas day as if you're like me you would have had a little drink the night before and need all the under eye lighting you can get. For my undereye concealer, I use the Revolution Fast Base concealer which works perfectly at smoothing and lightening my under eye area. For the rest of my concealing, I use another Revolution concealer, the Conceal and Define concealer which if you haven't tried you need to! This concealer works at just hiding all of those pesky imperfections.

For bronzer, blush and highlighter I chose to use a face palette which contains all three products making it a lot easier for picking my products on Christmas morning. The palette I have chosen is the Naked Flushed paletted in Strip. This palette literally has it all, a warm bronzer which I use to give my face a bit of warmth as I have looked kind of washed out this weekend. The blush in this palette just gives a nice wash of colour to the skin and can be built up for a stronger pigmentation. Lastly, the highlighter in this palette is just perfect for Christmas as its glittery and gold!

Eyes

Moving on to the eyes I try and use as little products as I can to keep the time doing my makeup to a minimum. For my eyes, I have been loving the Morphe 12NB palette, it has a lot of more autumnal colours but some of the more glittery shades can be used for a more neutral glam look. In this palette, I only used around 4 shades to create an easy look which only took around 5 minutes! To add to this look I applied some black liner which is Barry M waterproof eyeliner if you have watery eyes this liner is a must-have and also my favourite liquid liner just along my upper lash line, the liner I use is the Soap & Glory Supercat liner. To finish off the eye look I added a bit of mascara to my lower lashes as I have lash extensions, for this I used the Maybelline Great lash which is such a nostalgic mascara for me!

For my brows, I have used the same products for a while and have actually perfected the art of doing them under 30 minutes. For a quick brow look, I have been using the NYX Micro brow pencil to fill in my brows and give them a good shape and then I use the NYX brow mascara to set them all into place. For an added product which doesn't need to be used but I like to be a bit extra, I use the Bobbo Brown Illuminating stick to add an extra glow to my brow bone.

Lips

For the last step of this Christmas, day look is a good red lip! The lipstick I have chosen for my look is the Rimmel London Kate Matte Lipstick in 107, this lipstick I would say is actually the perfect red shade for all skin tones. This isn't a bright or dark red but it's just in the middle. This lipstick applies so easily and is long lasting because of its matte look!
