I actually started my Collection series last year with my High-Street Palette Collection but with all the other posts I had scheduled in I couldnt fit them in but now we're in the new year there isn't a better time to get started. I thought I'd start with foundations, I didn't actually realise how many I had until this post so I'm also going to be turning this post into a declutter (which I'm loving at the moment). Keep reading to find which ones are staying and going!

Highstreet Foundations

This was probably one of the most talked about foundations last year and I had to get my hands on it. This foundation was a sort of hit and miss for me because there were things that I loved and hated about this foundation. I loved that you can apply and blend out this foundation in literally minutes and I actually do like the way the foundation looks on my skin but the problem with this foundation is that it doesn't like to last on my skin very well. This foundation doesn't sit very well on my oily skin, especially throughout the day. For this foundation to really work I actually still use it but I apply a more matte foundation to my T-zone and then use this stick on the outer areas of my face.

This foundation is a recent purchase of mine and I featured it in one of my latest posts Testing New Foundations. In this post, I found out how much I really enjoyed this foundation and how good it made my skin look while I was wearing it. This foundation is an all-around great foundation which has all of my favourite things that I look for in a foundation, its matte, full coverage and lasts all day.  When using and wearing this you would really think that it would probably be double the price because of the quality being so good. This foundation has quickly become one of my favourites and is in my daily makeup bag!

P.s... My Perfect Colour Matte Foundation
This foundation was a complete surprise to me because it's only £3 and from Primark of all places. There's nothing better than finding an amazing product that you wasn't expecting to find. I have been using this foundation nearly every day except when I'm wearing my Revolution Conceal & Define. This foundation is another great find because its matte which I love but doesn't leave you feeling cakey and it is actually really long wearing. I can apply this foundation in the morning do a full day at work and my foundation still looks great at the end of the day, for me, this is really hard because I have such oily skin. If your looking for a very cost friendly foundation then definitely give this one a try.

This was one of the first foundations that I had when I started my collection (not the same bottle!) I'd never really tried Bourjois face products before and thought I would give this one a go. Even though this foundation isn't in my desired finish it still looks really lovely on my skin and I ser it with a good matte powder to get the look I like. Applying this foundation is so easy and it blends into the skin really easily, if you love a dewy finish this would definitely be a good foundation for you. The smell of this foundation is also amazing which usually isn't something that I really bother with. The problem I have with this foundation is that there aren't many shades at all and my shade is one of the darkest ones that they have, they need to do better with that.

Bourjois really upped their game when they came out with this Air Matte foundation, this foundation is the perfect for me as it is matte but you still have a slight glow under the skin. This foundation has been a favourite of mine since it was released and I have actually repurchased it a few times. The same as the previous foundation they don't have as many shades as I would like and it took me a couple of tries to find my right shade. The finish of this foundation is perfect and it blends into the skin really nicely. Even though the foundation is slightly on the thicker side in consistency it still feels weightless on the skin.

When this foundation first came out I was really looking forward to trying it out (any foundation that has matte in the name is always excited to try) and for ages, I couldn't get it anywhere as most of the shades were either sold out or not in stock. Then when I eventually got my hands on it wasn't the right shade so long story short I have to use two different shades to get one to fit for me. I do like this foundation and I still use it from time to time but I do go for my other ones more than this. The finish is great but I do find that this product dries really quickly so working fast to blend it in is a must.

I've mentioned this foundation in a few posts like my Easy Christmas Day Makeup Look and my October Favourites. This foundation was an absolute favourite of mine for a long time until I discovered some new foundations. This product literally feels weightless and while wearing it, it feels like your not wearing anything at all. When I was looking up this foundation I read a lot of bad and negative reviews but it really did work for me. It made my skin look smooth and naturally fresh. This is a foundation that I wouldn't judge by the reviews.

A few years ago this foundation was everywhere, all of the beauty gurus were talking and raving about how good this product is. When ordering this foundation I hade a big mistake and got a shade which is really 5 shades too dark so I haven't been able to fully wear it and test it out but I use it when I have a foundation that is too light for me. This product actually works really well when mixing it in with other foundations, I do this a lot when I wear my Bourjois Healthy Mix as it gives my skin a bit of a glow.

High-End Foundations

Este Lauder Double Wear Foundation
Double Wear was one of my first High-End foundations that I got because of all the reviews I read saying how amazing it was. This product combines everything that I want in a foundation, it's full coverage and matte. When using this foundation I understood why I was paying the extra money for it, I am always in for a budget so it was hard paying over £30 for a foundation but I did because its worth it. This is one of the foundations that I could wear every day, all day and it is not a problem to my skin when I usually wear other foundations every day it can cause me to get spots but not this one!

Too Faced Amazing Face Foundation

This foundation was an amazing find from Tk Maxx actually and by surprise, they had perfect shade. This foundation is actually discontinued now which I am so sad about because of how well it worked for me. This foundation isn't a matte one but it also isn't a dewy one it just sits right in the middle and leaves the skin looking glowy. The issue I had with this foundation is that it didn't have a pump or applicator and you just had to pour the product out which means that I wasted a lot of product.

The Declutter

This was hard because I think I am a real makeup hoarder and I really hate throwing things away but sometimes things need to go. After a long deliberation I decided that from my high-street foundations I'm going to part with my Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude and not because I don't like it any but because its been in my collection for too long now and I'm pretty sure its expired (I know it sounds gross but I can't be the only one who keeps expired makeup!). The other Highstreet foundation I'm throwing away is the L'oreal Infallible 24H Matte foundation because I just don't reach for it any more.

The High-End foundation that I have to sadly give up is the Too Faced amazing face as there is only a tiny amount left and it really isn't worth keeping but because they don't do this foundation anymore this will be a hard loss.

Overall I think I was wanting to cut down my collection more but I'm definitely a makeup hoarder! Do you have any of these foundations in your collection?

    1. I know I can’t believe that I actually have that many and going through them has made me want to wear all the different once’s! The primark foundation is really great! X

  2. It's such a shame about that Too Faced foundation, it sounds like the kind of finish I love. I have a huge post coming next month about foundations and I'm kinda embarrassed by the number I have and I only managed to throw 2 out! I definitely keep expired makeup. Unless it's really old, I go by any changes to texture/ smell/ colour etc. It's pointless throwing it away as soon as it hits the year mark if it's still totally fine x

    1. I know when I found out about the Too Faced Foundation I was really upset because it was perfect for my skin and made my skin look really lovely. Throwing away those three foundations was really hard. I do the exact same if the product looks and smells ok then it’s totally fine to still use! Xx

  3. Oooh I loved this post as I never know what foundations to try. I have dry skin so I do tend to go for a more dewy finish and I like the Bourjois Healthy Mix a lot but you're right, the shade range is appalling. I'm really intrigued by the Revolution one you mentioned, none of the foundations I use seem to last very long on me so I'll have to check it out. Also, cannot believe your luck finding the perfect Too Faced shade in TK Maxx haha! That's amazing. Well done on getting rid of some stuff though, I'm such a hoarder so I'd find that hard!

    1. Thank you! My skin changes a lot but I mainly have oily skin so I tend to stick to the matte finishes. The healthy mix foundation is one of my favourites but the shade range is really poor! I was shocked too when o found the Too Faced Foundation In Tk Maxx it was great! Xx

  4. I love that you have a nice collection of foundations! Oooh, I am always a sucker for a foundation that can conceal blemishes without a problem. It is a bummer that Bourjois didn't have a large variety of skin tone range. High-end beauty products work like a charm often times! It's worth the investment if you stick to one. Thanks for sharing!!

    1. Full coverage foundations are my go to’s as well! And also anything matte. Sometimes it is worth spending the money on a certain product especially if you know it’s going to work for you! Xx

  6. Wow, you have a huge collection! I rarely wear foundation because I have oily skin so it never lasts (despite primers). But I keep hearing such good things about Double Wear and it clearly works well for you so that's something I may have to treat myself to on my next birthday. Fabulously detailed and helpful round up, with great photos too, thank you so much! :)

  7. Ooh such a lovely collection! Double wear is one of my all time favourites and I really like the healthy mix too. I have the Primark one but haven't used it in forever as its more of a Summer shade that I can only really use when I have a tan! I definitely need to pick up some of your other recommendations!

  9. I have a huge foundation collection too and it always grieves me to throw things away that are still pretty full but then I don't see the point in keeping it when I'm probably not going to use it. I'm shocked that I haven't actually tried many in your collection I'd love to test the Bourjois one because so many people talk about it!

  10. great post! I absolutely love finding out abut new foundations. a lot of my favorite one's are actually from maybelline, but the one you mentioned isn't one I recall trying! however, my all time favorite foundation is by Charlotte Tillbury which hurts to say but she know's what she's doing when it comes to makeup creation. I will have to see if I can find the Bourjois one because they don't sell it here in America but i've heard great things about it. x

  11. I love that you've got so many recommendations for more affordable foundations, there really are some hidden gems out there on the high street. I recently bought the Revolution foundation and I'm so in love with it, I can't believe how amazing the quality is considering how affordable it is. I love the sound of the Bourjois one as I'm loving a healthy glowing kind of look at the moment x

  14. Thank you! It’s taken me a while to collect all of these foundations, I’ve actually tried the L’oreal true match but the finish wasn’t my favourite because I like to look matte! If you have the time definitely go to Tk Maxx for some makeup bits it’s really worth it! Xx
