Perfumes Perfect For Summer

I know Summer is nearly over but I'm not putting away my sunglasses just yet as its looking like we're going to be getting some good weather in the UK this week. Perfume can be very selective, during the year I tend to change up my scents pretty often depending on the season. Now we are in Summer I thought I'd share with you all the perfumes that I think will be perfect for this time of year, I've also done an older version of this post last year if you'd like to check it out!

Perfumes Perfect For Summer - Chloe

Chloé Eau De Parfum 50ml

This was a very extravagant gift that I was given from my boyfriend which I was very very excited to accept. When I gave this perfume a whiff for the first time the first thing that came to mind was summer and holidays. This is a perfume that I could easily wear on a daily basis because of how floral but still strong the scent is. The scents that you will smell from this perfume is a floral with woody notes to it. This scent would be perfect to take on a trip or on holiday because I find that it isn't too strong to wear during the day but it still has a quite powerful scent that it would also be perfect for the evening. I also find that this perfume would be perfect for all different ages as it truly is a timeless scent.

Scent Notes:
  • Top - Damascena rose essence
  • Heart - Centifolia rose absolute and Patchouli essence
  • Base - Vanilla essence

Perfumes Perfect For Summer - Jean Paul Gautier

Jean Paul Gaultier La Classique Eau De Toilette 50ml

Out of all of the perfumes added to this list, this is the newest of them and probably my favourite. This scent is such a classic to me and it's also very nostalgic because my mum has worn it for years. I have quite different things I like in scents, I either like quite sweet floral scents or strong and sexy ones like just like this perfume. They do have quite a few different versions of this perfume but the classic one seems to be my favourite. When I smell this perfume I instantly think of summer evenings, I wore this perfume a lot on holiday and even though its a strong scent its still light enough to wear while abroad. What I love most about this perfume, other than the packaging which is so cute is that its such a feminine scent with seductive notes to it.

Scent Notes:
  • Top - Bergamot, Rose and Pear
  • Heart - Tuberose, Ylang-ylang and Orchid
  • Base - Sandalwood, Vanilla and Musk
Perfumes Perfect For Summer - Chanel No 5

Chanel N°5 Eau De Parfum 50ml

This product is and will probably be the only Chanel product that I'll be able to afford and whenever I use this perfume I think of Marilyn Monroe and her iconic quote ' What do I wear in bed? well, Chanel N°5 of course'. This perfume was a lovely gift that I got for Christmas last year but have only just started getting round to using it because I find this perfume is more for the spring and summer months rather than winter mainly because of its fresh floral scent. On the Chanel website, this perfume is described to be sensual and enveloping which I think is a perfect description of the scent. This is another floral-scented perfume with a hint of vanilla that you can smell straight away. I don't wear this perfume too often because it is pretty expensive and I want to save it for special summer occasions like I have a wedding coming in the next few weeks and this perfume would be the perfect scent to wear on that day.

Scent Notes:
  • Top - Bergamot, Lemon and Neroli
  • Heart - Jasmin, May rose and Ylang-ylang
  • Base - Sandalwood, Vanilla and Musk

Perfumes Perfect For Summer - Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely 100ml

Celebrity perfumes aren't always my favourite as I find they can sometimes smell quite cheap but this scent is an exception. This is actually the cheaper perfume out of the bunch and I had to add a more affordable option. This perfume out of the rest is probably the one that I wear the most often. I like to actually carry this perfume with me in my bag and top up during the day. This perfume is very summery because of its exotic and citrus scent. This is another one of my perfumes that I think would be perfect to wear at any age as I find that it's still youthful but also mature at the same time (hope that makes sense). Because this perfume is so affordable I take it everywhere with me during the summer because if I happen to misplace it, it won't cost an arm and a leg to replace it. I also like to think that because it's by Sarah Jessica Parker that when I wear this perfume I'm just like Carrie Bradshaw!

Scent Notes:
  • Top - Lavander, Mandarin orange and Bergamot
  • Heart - Patchouli, Orchid and Narcissus
  • Base - Musk, Cedar and White amber

    1. They are really lovely scents and if I was to just one perfume all year round it would probably be out of those two! X

  3. I very rarely switch my fragrances up for the seasons, most of the ones I like are heavier/ muskier and woodier so more typically the A/W ones. Having said that, I love No5. It's such a classic and I always feel great when I wear it. An old uni friend used to wear the Chloe one all the time and she always smelt amazing x

    1. For my more autumn winter perfumes for some reason I also like them to be a lot more musky and woody. The Chanel is a classic that I’m sure everyone loves. The Chloé is also really gorgeous as well! X

  4. I tried to think of the last time that I actually went out and bought myself a nice perfume for a change. I think this post has definitely promoted me to go out and try some new perfumes rather than stick with the same single perfume whenever I do treat myself. I particularly liked the sound of the Chloe perfume as I've never tried it before.

    1. Most of my perfumes I actually get as either birthday or Christmas presents so I don’t really remember buying myself one either. The Chloé perfume is really gorgeous, it has such a feminine fresh scent which I love to wear during the summer! X

    1. Thank you! I was worried about my descriptions as I find describing certain scents can be pretty tricky! Sometimes I do forget to use my perfumes but I always feel better when I do! X

  6. these all sound so lovely, i’ve always wanted to smell Chanel N°5 but have never gotten the chance. I have a coworker who left behind a Sarah Jessica Parker perfume and it surprisingly smells really good. My current favorite perfume is Burberry Her and Elizabeth & James Nirvana Black. xx

  7. I haven't tried any of these actually! I'm a big perfume fan but to be honest I tend to stick to the ones that I know and love. Much like you, I do change up my perfumes depending on the seasons and because of that, a bottle tends to last me years! My favourites for Summer are definitely the lighter and vanilla based ones like you have here. Coconut is also a massive scent love of mine during Summer!
