High-End Products Worth The Money Part 2!

If you have been reading my blog for a while you will notice that I usually talk about affordable and drugstore makeup a lot, I think that the highstreet can produce really good quality makeup the same as high-end makeup but for a fraction of the price. However, I will say that there are definitely products out there that I would gladly spend the extra money on and that's what I'll be showing you today in this post, I've also done this post before on a few other products Id spend my money on!

High-End Products Worth The Money Part 2 - Highlighter Swatch

This product is probably one of the most expensive highlighters that I have in my collection and it is worth every penny. I have tried a number of liquid highlighters in the past of all different price ranges and I usually found that whenever I apply them over my foundation it just seems to wear away and I'm left with patches, but I don't get that at all with this product. I have used this highlighter so many different ways, I've added it on top of my foundation for a liquid highlight, I've applied it underneath my foundation for a subtle glow and I've also mixed it in with my foundation to give my skin an all-over glow which I think justifies the £27 price tag a bit more. The thing I love most about this product is the gorgeous shade, its like a mix between a pink, peach and champagne shade which compliments my skin tone so well. This highlighter also comes in 7 different shades for all different skin tones ranging from a white champagne colour for the lighter skin tones and a patina gold for the darker skin tones. Another aspect I really like about this highlighter is that it can also be used on the body, to add a little glow to the shoulders just blend this product out with a beauty blender to give your skin a lovely summer glow.

Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion Original £17.50

If you havent heard of this product before then where have you been? This eyeshadow primer is probably one of the main products (other than the Naked palettes) that Urban Decay is known for. This primer is definitely a potion because it really does work magic. I love to wear eye shadow and whenever I do this product is always my base. I have tried cheaper alternatives when I've run out but they never live up to this primer. Whenever I don't use this primer for any reason I can instantly tell the difference because the shadows don't apply to my lid that well and they crease and wear away during the day. Even though this primer is £17.50 I have gotten so much use out of mine and have only needed to repurchase it once because it lasted me so long. This primer now also comes in quite a few different shades which I think is great as there is something for everyone. There have been times when I've worn this primer like when I was a bridesmaid in a summer wedding in Cyprus where I was absolutely sweating but my shadow didn't budge. I've also learnt a trick to use this primer on the sides of my nose where my glasses sit and it helps to keep my foundation from wearing away which is amazing!

Benefit Hoola Bronzer £26.00

The Benefit Hoola bronzer has been a staple in the beauty industry for years and this is definitely a product I brought after being convinced by a few YouTubers. On a daily basis I wear bronzer so getting a product that blends beautifully and stays all day is a must for me and this bronzer does just that. When I first purchased this product they only had it in the original shade but they have now (finally) added some different shades which are the Lite, Caramel and Toasted shades to fit more skin tones, I still feel like they need to add a few more darker shades to make sure that they cater to everybody. I have used so many different bronzers over the years which you can see in my Bronzer Collection but I always seem to come back to this one because of how great the quality is, it blends out so easily with a good fluffy brush and it leaves my skin looking sun-kissed. I have been using the original shade for a few years now but I think when I finish this product I'll repurchase the Caramel shade because I think it would be the perfect shade for my skin tone.

High-End Products Worth The Money Part 2 1

MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ £21.00

In my whole collection I probably only have around 3 different MAC products which is actually quite good as I have been tempted to buy a lot more in the past but they are on the more pricey side. I had heard so many good things about the Fix+ prep and prime spray before I actually went out and purchased the travel size to test it out first. I don't use setting sprays every day but when I do its most likely going to be this spray. When we had 30° heat a few weeks ago this spray was my saviour, I used it in the morning when I was finishing getting ready for work and my makeup stayed put all day without creasing or wearing away and for my skin that is a real achievement. I also have a few different uses for this spray, I use it as a setting spray mostly then also I have used it as a primer spray as well I do this mostly when I'm wearing quite a lot of makeup that needs to stay on all day. I also like to spray this setting spray on an eyeshadow brush to give my shadows a lot more pigment! I also have the original version of this spray but next time I'm definitely going to pick up the lavender version.

Benefit BADgal BANG! Mascara £22.00

Since I've decided to not have lash extensions all the time (I must say I am missing them) to save money I needed to find a good mascara that gives me the false lash effect without having to spend £60 every time. I got this mascara in a Christmas gift set last year and have only really started using it in the last few months, At first I was only wearing it on my lower lashed which I loved the look it gave me as it separated my lashes and gave them a lot of length. Since cutting down on the lash extensions this mascara has truly been my best friend, I like my lashes to look thicker, longer and with more volume and this mascara gives me all of this. Another thing I really love about this mascara is that the plastic brush helps to coat all my lashes with mascara and it also somehow gives them more of a curl. Another plus from this mascara is that it doesn't smudge or run during the day as I have quite watery eyes this is a must for me.

High-End Products Worth The Money Part 2 - Palette Swatch

Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette - Strip £25.50

This palette has been in my collection for a couple of years now and it's still my go-to full face palette because it contains a bronzer, blush and highlighter. All three of the products in this palette work perfectly for my skin tone. The bronzer is my favourite product in the palette, the shade is perfect and it's just deep enough for my skin tone and even works for when I get a tan, this bronzer also contains a slight shimmer to it which makes it the perfect product to wear on special occasions or nights out. The blush in this palette is also really beautiful, the shade is a mauvey pink which I have found can be used for any occasion and it also blends into the skin so seamlessly. The highlighter in this palette is also slightly different to what I usually wear as its a lot more glittery but I only really use this for when I'm going out and need to look extra highlighted and shimmery. Having all of these products all in one is perfect for travelling and taking on holiday as you will save a lot of space in your makeup bag. This product definitely worth the price tag because of the overall quality of all the different products inside. I've also mentioned this palette before in My Favourite Face Palettes post you can see that this palette has got some love since then!

  6. I love posts like this, they're so handy as I hate spending a lot of money on something that ends up being disappointing. I totally agree with you about Hoola, the Urban Decay primer and the Benefit mascara, they're all such good products and worth every penny. I've never tried anything from ABH except brow products so I definitely need to get my hands on that highlighter - it sounds dreamy!

  8. So many classic products here! My makeup collection tends to lean on the pricier side but some of the things that I think are truly worth the money every time are the Becca highlighters and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder x

  9. Loving this list, I agree that alrho8gh drug store can be just as good as high end but there are products spending the money on. For me I like higher end make up brushes so I don't mind spending the money. I've always wanted to try the benefit Badgal bang mascara, heard great things about it.

  11. I love Urban Decay eye shadow palettes. I have the Naked 2 palette and the limited edition Game of Thrones palette. I used to use cheap eye shadows but found within an hour they would have disappeared off my lids. Urban Decay is the only eye shadow I've found that will stay put for a whole day!
