My Best Blog Posts of 2019

2019 was officially my second year of having Beauty Obsessed and I think that I finally found my feet in 2019. I loved blogging last year and I found that my writing style and definitely my photos and editing got so much better and this makes me excited to see what 2020 will bring for my blog. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you all of my best blog posts that I loved to write and take photos for in 2019!

Testing Amazon Makeup Brushes

Testing and reviewing products is one of the main reasons that I decided to start my blog and that's why I came up for the idea of this post. I remember it taking me a long time to prepare for this post because I had to get the brushes and at this time I don't think I had Prime and then I wanted to test the brushes out for a few days to give everyone a real honest review. This was also one of the posts that I started to change up the way that I took my photos and edited them and was really happy with the way the photos came out. When I was thinking about new posts to do during the new year I actually decided that I wanted to do a part two of this post because I really enjoyed planning and writing this post. This was also one of my best blog posts to and did really well with my readers with it actually being one of my most viewed blog posts of 2019!

Testing Amazon Makeup Brushes Flatlay

in 2019 I did have a lot more opportunities to work with some of my favourite brands with that including Soap & Glory. I have loved Sopa & Glory for as long as I can remember and I have so many different products of there's in my collection that I use on a daily basis. When I saw the iconic pink box on my doorstep I knew it was from Soap and Glory and I was instantly excited and then when I saw it was the Fab pore range I had to start using it straight away. I gave myself about a week to try out the products and then write my review on the items. This was a range that I actually liked all of the products that I was gifted the mask, cleanser and blotting sheets. From the products I was gifted, I still use the cleanser every day and I recently ran out of the blotting sheets that Im wanting to go and repurchase because they worked so well.

My 5 Under £5 series is one that I started in 2018 and Im still doing posts for it today. It's a series that I love to put together because it can be slightly challenging to put together because a lot of makeup items are over the £5 mark. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will probably have noticed that I love affordable makeup and my 5 Under £5 posts are the perfect way of finding really affordable makeup. The foundation category of this post was probably my favourite to put together because I love finding and trying new crazy affordable foundation products because I don't always think that the most expensive products are always the best. Some of my favourite drugstore brands MUA, Revolution and Primark Beauty were all featured in this post because of the love I have for their super affordable foundations that look amazing on my skin.

SGX NYC Hair Products Review!*

This post was another Gifted post that I put together reviewing the SGX NYC Hair Care brand. I've added this post to this list because it was such a pleasure to write and I had the best time trying out new hair care products that I still use to this day. Haircare isn't something that I write about too often because im usually stuck in my ways and use the same products all the time but when I had the opportunity to work with a haircare brand and try a few of their new products I knew I had to do it. Out of all three of the products that I was gifted I actually still use all three and I've nearly finished the Finishing Spray that I will be repurchasing!

My Lipstick Collection

My collection posts are probably one of my all-time favourite posts to sit down and write. These posts help me to go through all my makeup and it also gives me the opportunity to use products I've forgotten about or that have been pushed to the back of my collection. I may not have mentioned this before but years ago when I started my collection I didn't actually wear lipstick or any lip products but then when I started finding shades that suited me it fastly became one of my favourite makeup items. This was also a post where I changed up the way I lay out my flatlays, I decided to make it look more uniform and I love the way the photos came out. In this post, I also decided I would show the shades of the product off by doing lip swatches which was really fun but actually took hours to do! In my collection posts, I always like to say that im not bragging about my collection because my collection has taken me quite a few years to get it like what it looks like today.

Christmas Gift Guide For Her 2019*

This is one of the newest posts that I have added onto my list and this might actually be one of my favourites. One of my favourite posts to write as a blogger is gift guides, I did do one in 2018 which wasn't a favourite of mine but I was so much more impressed with this post. I liked the photos I did a lot better and you can tell how much my flatlays have improved from my 2018 gift guide to my 2019 gift guide. For this post, I also liked gathering together different items and products that I was going to add for the post, such as skincare items, false lashes, ring light and an eyeshadow palette, For this post I was also lucky enough to receive a perfume from Uk Pure Scents to add especially to the gift guide. This was another one of my blog posts that actually did really well with my readers and they seemed to enjoy the bits I picked for the guide.
