So we are now officially on the 3rd Birchbox of the year. Am I the only one that thinks this year is flying by. March means the end of the early evenings and the start of the sun being out until 9 which is my favourite time of the year. The theme of this months box is Icons which was to mark International Women's Day which was this month! In today's post, I'll be sharing with you all of the goodies I got in this months box.

Forgive me Suzie is a brand that I discovered through Birchbox and its actually a brand that is exclusive to them. I got their palette back in my December Birchbox that I have been loving and using a lot because the pigmentation is amazing and the shades are my favourite so that made me even more excited to try out this product. This product is described as a metallic long-lasting eyeshadow which sounds like the dream product to me and the colour is a really gorgeous copper shade. Liquid eyeshadow is one of my favourite products, it makes creating eye looks really easy and simple but it still looks really good so I was looking forward to giving this product a try. The first time I used this product I actually decided to use it with the Forgive Me Suzie palette that I got back in December and the shades just seemed to work with each other. Ap[lying this product was really easy, I applied it with the applicator and it went on the lid really seamlessly and with full coverage and it dried down pretty quickly without any creasing. Throughout the day this liquid eyeshadow lasted really well and looked like I just applied it after hours of wearing it. This product is going in my permanent collection.

The Beauty Crop Wing Woman Liquid Eyeliner

Winged eyeliner is one of my favourites, I wear it on most days now so I'm very picky with certain eyeliners because I know exactly what I like. This liner is supposed to create the perfect cat eye with no flaking or smudging which sounds great to me. This product is from The Beauty Crop which I've tried before from Birchbox and loved it. When I swatched this liner I was a little underwhelmed, it was a deep black shade that is claimed to be it was more of a grey tone which I didn't really like, I tried to shake up the product to see if that would help, it did a little but it still wasn't as black as I would have liked it.  The one thing I did really like about this liner was the felt tip applicator, it reminded me of my favourite liquid liner which is the Revolution Renaissance. I have tried this liner out a few times but I still don't seem to be liking the formula very much. This might be a liner that I'll giveaway to either family or friends because I've only used it a handful of times.

Balance Me Vitamin C Repair Serum

Balance Me is a brand that I've used quite a few times since using Birchbox and have always been really impressed with them that I still use some every day. This product is supposed to brighten up your beauty routine with a daily dose of vitamin C in the form of this innovative serum. It is formulated to combat signs of ageing, minimalises fine lines, helps to fade pigmentation and counteract sun damage with hyaluronic acid for hydrating. I have only used this serum a couple of times but have actually really liked it. Vitamin C is so important for the skin because it helps to brighten the skin and leave a really nice glow which I really love. I also felt that when I was using this serum I could feel that it gave a slightly firming feel to the skin which is always a plus.

Daily Concepts Dual Texture Body Scrubber

Daily Concepts is another brand that I discovered through Birchbox and have loved all of their items and products. This product is the perfect item to use with your shower gel because this environmentally friendly soy sponge helps you to improve your bathtime routine. This sponge also comes with a soft and gentle side as well as a textured side for more of thorough exfoliation and all you need to do is simply wet it and apply with body wash and scrub away. I have actually been using this daily now when I have my bath and actually before I shade my legs this is the perfect product to use to make sure all of the dead skin is gone and my skin is silky smooth and hydrated before hair removal.

Number 4 Jour D'Automne Blow Dry Lotion

Haircare products aren't always my favourite products to get because im pretty set in my ways with what I use on my hair but I've always been very impressed with Number 4 products which are exclusive to Birchbox. This product is a part thermal protector and a part leave-in treatment and it's supposed to help your hair dry up to 50% faster and is packed with botanicals to keep the hair healthy, shiny and smooth. The claim that this product makes your hair dry up to 50% faster is what caught my eye straight away and I needed to test it out. When I wash and straighten my hair its a whole day gone so if this actually worked it would be perfect. I washed my hair and applied this product when it was damp and then started to dry it, it still took me ages to fully dry my hair and I wouldn't say it magically dried my hair in half the time but I do think it helped slightly. I would like to try this product out a couple more times to see if it really improves my hair.

Pin For Later...

Another month and another very successful Birchbox. There was a lot of hits and a few misses this month but overall really great. Have you tried any of these products before?

  1. It's such a shame that the eyeliner didn't work out so well, felt tip liners are my absolute favourite and I find them so much easier to apply than any others! It's got to be blacker than black colour-wise though otherwise like you said, it's just underwhelming! My favourite at the moment is the Benefit Roller Lash Liner, I just wish it wasn't so expensive. The liquid eyeshadow sounds gorgeous, I'm still yet to invest in one as I'm so stuck in my powder eyeshadow ways that I'm reluctant to shake that part of my makeup up!

    1. I know I hate when liners don’t perform the way that they should. I haven’t tried the Roller Lash Liner before but it sounds really great! The liquid eyeshadow is actually one of my favourites from this months box x

  5. It's such a shame that the liner wasn't great. There are so many amazing ones out there these days I genuinely don't understand how some can be so off. I was hoping you were going to say the last product was amazing because something like that would be an absolute game changer for me, I'm glad it reduced drying time a little bit even if it wasn't as good as you'd hoped x

    1. I know! I don’t know if it was just the one that I had but it really didn’t work well the colour just wasn’t black enough. My hair is crazy thick any way so that might be why but it did make a difference I was just hoping for more! X

  6. Every time I read your Birchbox reviews I wonder if I should restart my subscription but then I remember that I had a drawerful of products that I had to give away and throw out as I couldn't use them all :( But I love the sound of that Vitamin C Repair Serum, a healthy glow is something we could all do with right now. Great review, thank you! x

  8. I'm a huge fan of hair products and I certainly wanna try out the blow dry lotion because I'm always looking for heat protectant sprays to blow out my hair. Vitamin C serums make a huge difference in brightening the skin tone, so I'm glad I have another brand to check out. I always learn something new from you, like liquid eyeshadow. I never used that before.
