L'Oreal Brand Favourites Flatlay

While sitting at home thinking of what blog posts to schedule for the upcoming month I thought that I would finally do another Brand Favourites post and this time it will be for L'Oreal. Back when I started my collection L'Oreal was one of the first brands that I was obsessed with and had a collection of products that I loved. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you all of my favourite products from L'Oreal.

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation

Infallible Matte Foundation

When this product was released it was my holy grail foundation for a good year. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that I love a matte foundation and this one was perfect and did everything that I wanted it to do. This foundation had a lot of hype when it first came out and I actually brought it from a recommendation on a youtube video and it fastly became a favourite of mine. I've actually had to buy 2 or 3 tubes of this foundation because I've run out which almost never happens because I'm always switching up my makeup. There are a few reasons why I like this foundation with one of them being that it is a matte finish but it doesn't leave the skin looking cakey, another reason why I really love this foundation is that it doesn't cling to any dry areas of the skin which is a pet hate of mine. The claims of this foundation are that it lasts 24hours which I personally haven't tried but it does last really well on the skin and that it is a medium to full coverage which I would say is true because it covers my imperfections really well but you can also build on it if you want more coverage. There is only one issue that I have with this foundation is that there aren't enough shades which is a problem and I had to buy two different shades in this foundation to mix together to get my right shade. With the drawbacks in mind, this foundation is still a favourite of mine.

L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara

False Lash Telescopic Mascara

This mascara is very different from any other mascara that I've used before and that's because of the applicator. I got this mascara on a whim when I wanted to try something new and different. This mascara is something that I've used a lot in the past and when I was putting this post together I was reminded of how much I used to love this product. My lashes are naturally quite curled but they aren't very long or defined sp I'm always looking for mascaras that add length, definition and volume to my lashes and I would say that this mascara gives me 2 out of the 3 which are length and definition. When I use this mascara I know I'm in for a good lash day, it leaves my lashes looking much longer, separated and defined. The applicator of this mascara is really different from the ones I usually like because this wand has a plastic applicator with thin spikes in it to separate the lashes and leave them looking longer and defined. I like to use this product a lot on my lower lashes because it adds length but doesn't leave them looking spidery. Another thing I really like about this mascara is the packaging, it's designed to look like a telescope which I think adds a bit of fun and I'm a sucker for cute packaging.

L'Oreal Eva's Nude Lipstick

Colour Riche Eva's Nude Lipstick

Before I tried any of the other product from L'Oreal their lipsticks were the first and a favourite of mine. Over the years I have tried so many different lipsticks from the brand and have really enjoyed them but the one I love the most is the Colour Rich Eva's Nude lipstick. A few years ago L'Oreal has a campaign that a few celebrities brought out their perfect shades of colours from red lipsticks to nude and the one I really liked was Eva Longoria's Nude. I never used to really like nude lipsticks because I thought they matched my skin tone too much that my lips would look invisible but I started to try out a few different shades and now nudes are some of my favourite lipsticks to wear. This lipstick is slightly lighter than I usually wear but if I wear a deeper lip liner underneath the colour works perfectly with my skin tone. This lipstick is also really comfortable to wear and feels more like a balm than a lipstick so I like to wear this a lot to work as its a great colour and works with a lot of different makeup looks.

L'Oreal Infallible Lipgloss

Infallible Lipgloss

In my two years blogging I am sure that I have mentioned this lip gloss so many times because of how much I love it, like in my Non-Sticky Lipgloss Post. I never used to really like wearing lip gloss because I hate the feeling of my lips being sticky and uncomfortable but when I tried this lip gloss I was convinced that lip gloss is, in fact, the best. This lip gloss is one of the only drugstore lip glosses that are really comfortable to wear and doesn't leave that sticky feeling at all. When I wear this lip gloss it actually feels more like a lip oil that a gloss because it glides on the lips and leaves then looking extra shiny. I have tried this gloss in different shades and they all perform the same with amazing shine and pigment in the colour. I like to use this gloss in different ways, I will use it on its own or I will apply a lip liner or lipstick underneath to give the lip gloss extra pigment and it makes it look different. In the future, I will definitely be getting more shades of this lip gloss to try out because I'm sure I will love them.

L'Oreal Luminous Rose Blush

True Match Le Blush - Luminous Rose

A few months ago I became obsessed with blush, I always liked blush but more recently I have been wearing it a lot more and trying out shades I probably wouldn't have used before. While I was on the lookout for new blushers to try I came across the L'Oreal True Match Le Blush which I had to have. This blush is different from what I usually wear because it has glitter in which I don't usually like but with this blush, it is pretty subtle and doesn't leave my face look really glittery and shiny. I like this blush because its a really pretty shade of pink with adds a gorgeous flush of colour to the cheeks and even though there is added glitter it still looks really natural. I like to wear this blush in the spring and summer months or when I'm on holiday because its the perfect shade for summer and looks gorgeous with a tan.

  1. I really like brand favourites. Such a great introduction for people who haven't tried much. I think the only product I've tried here is Eva's nude and I never really wear nudes either but I quite like this one x
