Top 5 Summer Body Care Products

Next week in the UK we are going to be getting some lovely weather (technically a heatwave) with it being 30° this Thursday! With that in mind, I thought that this post would be the perfect blog post to put this week. In hotter weather, I like to change up my skincare products to make sure that my skin is protected from the heat and kept smooth and hydrated. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you all of my Top 5 Summer Body Care Products.

Environ RAD SPF 15

The first product that everyone should be thinking about in hot weather is SPF, its the most important product and it should really be used every day even when it's not super hot out. This SPF is a product I have used for years and is one of the best SPF to use on your face to protect it from the sun. Whenever I talk about this suncream people always think that SPF 15 isn't enough but if you apply it correctly every 2 hours your skin will be fully protected from the sun. This suncream protects the skin from UVA and UVB rays and it has sun containing filters and reflectors to add full protection to the skin. One of the main reasons that I like this suncream is that it doesn't leave a white cast on the skin and that it doesn't have that very strong suncream smell. When I apply this product it soaks into the skin instantly and doesn't leave any white marks and it also makes the skin feel really smooth. This sun cream is also perfect to use on the face as it doesn't clog any pores and it is too thick in consistency either. Environ is a specialist brand that you can only get from salons so im looking forward to getting back to work so I can stock this up!

Friction Free Shaving Pre-Shave Scrub*

Back in March, I was asked by FFS if I wanted to add one of their sets to my Mothers Day Gift Guide and I jumped at the chance because I have heard such good things about their products. Out of all the products I was gifted the one I loved this most is the Pre-Shaving Scrub. In hot weather, my legs tend to get a little drier and that can cause some ingrown hairs so this product is a must before shaving my legs. This scrub contains Manuka Honey which is anti-inflammatory, Almond Extract which treats dry skin and Walnut scrub which removes dead skin cells leaving the skin feeling amazing and it helps for a more easy shave. I like to use this scrub even on days when I'm not shaving because it helps to soften the skin and leaves it also looking a lot smoother and less dry. I use this product on my arms as well because even though it's effective at removing dead skin it also isn't too rough so it's soft enough to use on my delicate skin leaving it ready for the sun.

Bali Body Watermellon Tanning Oil*

This is another product that I was very kindly gifted but this time it was from Bali Body. I don't have much experience with tanning products but since trying out bits from Bali Body I am now obsessed. Next week in the UK we are having a heatwave and this is definitely the perfect product to use in the sun. This tanning oil doesn't just help with giving the skin come colour it also has an SPF protection of 15 and it also protects the skin from UVA and UVB rays. This product is a natural oil that helps you to achieve a deep suntan while hydrating the skin and offering medium protection from the sun. This product helps give the skin an all-over even tan and leaves the skin feeling and looking amazing. Since getting this product I have used it a few times and it really does work at bringing out more of a tan and prolonging the tan because of the moisturising properties to this product.

Rituals The Ritual Of Karma Body Cream

If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that Rituals is one of my favourite body care brands, it is more or a luxury brand and the products can be a little pricey but they are definitely worth it. This cream is my favourite out of the other products I've tried, its such a luxurious cream which makes the skin feel amazing. After a full day of being in the sun, my skin can start to feel dry and a little tight and it's so important to make sure that my skin is moisturised and smoothes because this can also help to prolong tans. This cream contains white tea which helps protect from UV rays and Lotus which is an anti-inflammatory and moisturising ingredient and this makes it the perfect product to use on the skin after being in the sun all day.

Soap & Glory Paradise Glossed Moisturising Body Oil*

After being in the sun all day whether in this country or on holiday it's always best to make sure the skin is moisturised. If I was in the sun for the day and I was going out of an evening this would be the product I would use on my skin. I always find that oils are the best products to fully hydrate the skin and leave it feeling amazing after sun exposure and helps to keep my tan looking fresh. This product was a new release from Soap & Glory back in 2018 and it is apart of their Call of Fruity range so it also leaves such an amazing scent on the skin. This product contains coconut oil which is a moisturising ingredient and almond oil which has anti-inflammatory properties. To use this product you need to shake it up to activate and then spray it on the skin and massage it in, even though it is an oil it still soaks into the skin quickly and doesn't leave it looking or feeling greasy instead it leaves the skin looking hydrated and glossy.

  1. The Bali Body tanning oil sounds divine! I really would love to try it out - I am in desperate need of a tan! This is a great list of summer body care! The shaving scrub sounds like a really good idea. Having ingrown hairs or dry legs isn't what you want!

  3. I haven't tried any of these but I love the sound of the Soap & Glory oil and the scrub, I find getting good body SPF really hard, being really fair I burn easily even when applying regularly (I'd topped up three times before I'd even left the house today) so I always go for the highest SPF possible but that often leaves that awful texture x

  4. I had an Origins body oil some years ago and LOVED it so the Soap & Glory one sounds right up my street. And yes, we're very hot on SPF50 here, I'm always nervous about Flora burning. Lovely post with some fab products :) Lisa x
