Over the past few months since doing my last Empties post, I have accumulated more product empties that I wanted to share with you today. I love putting together empties posts because it reminds me of the products I loved and ones that didn't hit the mark. In today's post, I'll be showing you my recent product empties and if I'll be repurchasing them or not, grab a cuppa or a snack this is a long one.

Mitchum Powder Fresh Roll-On Deodorant

I thought I would start off the post with one that's not the most fun to talk about. Deodorant isn't something that I really think about I usually just pick whichever ones on offer at the time and go with that but I think I have been converted into a Mitchum fan. I have used this deodorant a few times now and have been impressed every time I use it. All I want from deodorant is something that is suitable for sensitive skin and keeps me dry all day and this product does just that. At the moment I just finished the roll-on version which I do like but I also like the Powder Fresh Deodrant Stick which I think I like a little more because when I use it I literally don't sweat all day! If your not a fan of fragranced deodorant they also do an unperfumed version which also works just as good.

Repurchase? I will definitely be repurchasing this deodorant again

Imperial Leather Moroccan Sunset Indulgent Bath Soak

Like deodorant I'm never usually too fussy when it comes to bubble bath, I usually just pick up whatever is there at the time and go with that but since using this bath soak I have brought a new bottle straight after I finish one. The first thing that I noticed about this bath soak is the smell, it has such a luxurious sweet scent and it also leaves my skin feeling smooth and not dried out which I have found can happen with other bubble baths. Another thing I love about this product is that I only use a small amount in my bath while the waters running and it makes quite a lot of bubbles that last the whole time I'm in the bath, a pet peeve of mine is when the bubbles go away halfway through my bath. This bath soak is also super affordable and it can be brought on your weekly food shop run.

Repurchase? I have another one in my bathroom already!

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Liquid Glow Daily 2%

I got this product one day on a whim, I had just finished my Pixi Glow Tonic and I wanted to try something different and decided to go for this. I haven't tried much from Nip + Fab before but I had heard such good things about the brand. There are two different versions of this toner the Daily 2% and Extreme 6%, I decided to try out the 2% first just to make sure that my skin could handle it and it wouldn't become sensitised. While using this product I didn't see miracles in my skin but it did look nice and glowy, I would say that if I was to try this product again I would go for the Extreme version because I know now that my skin could handle it. When I applied this to my skin it didn't cause it to feel tight but it did leave it feeling fresh and smooth. I would recommend this product to people who cant take Pixi Glow Tonic because that has 5% Glycolic acid where this toner has 2% making it more gentle for sensitive skin.

Repurchase? This product did the job while I was using it but I've used better toners before

Simple Eye Makeup Remover

Since my last empties post when I mentioned this product I think this is actually my second bottle. This eye makeup remover is my holy grail, I have used others before that I've liked but nothing has been as good as this one. I have pretty sensitive eyes and they water a lot throughout the day so at the end of the day I like to take my makeup off quickly and easily without it making my eyes sting and that's exactly what this eye makeup remover does. This remover is suitable for sensitive eyes but its also tough enough to break through waterproof eye makeup which is usually pretty tricky to remove and can cause you to pull and tug at the eyes. I have also tried more expensive brands of eye makeup remover but this affordable one from Simple does the job really well.

Repurchase? I already have one on the way

Primark Beauty Brow Sketch

I go through brow pencils like there's no tomorrow! When I was working (currently in lockdown again) I would draw on my brows every day and fill them in with the same product so I would run out of product pretty quickly and that included this product. I was walking through Primark one day and saw this product and thought I'd give it a try and ended up loving it. This pencil has great consistency with it not being too dry or too waxy it is somewhere right in the middle, it applies to my brows really easily and its super thin applicator gives the illusion of hair strokes. The colour also worked really well for me, it was dark brown which was dark enough for my black eyebrows and I actually liked that it was slightly lighter so they look more natural. This product was also super cheap with it only being £2!

Repurchase? Every time I go into Primark I look for this product and I haven't been able to find it but I'm still on the lookout

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo (+) Moisturiser

When lockdown ended (the first time) and I went back to work my skin really suffered from wearing a mask all day so I found a few new products to be apart of my Problematic Skincare Routine and this moisturiser is in that routine. I used to use this product years ago but then forgot about it while trying new things but in the past couple of months, I have been using it religiously since then and have seen a big improvement in my skin. Since using this moisturiser my skin has become a lot less problematic, I still get the odd spot here and there but not as bad as it was before. This cream is good for acne-prone skin but also La Roche Posay is also really great for people with sensitive skin making this moisturiser a great all-rounder product. La Roche Posay is a drugstore brand but it is slightly pricier than other brands but it is definitely worth it and it's a product that lasts!

Repurchase? This moisturiser came in the other day from Amazon

Nivea Daily Essentials Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover

This eye makeup remover used to be my favourite product, I used it on and off for years but when I used this last bottle for some reason my eyes just didn't respond well to it. I don't think that they changed the formula so I'm not sure what happened, whenever I used this remover my eyes would sting a lot and after a while, I had to stop using it, Luckily I only had half a bottle left so it wasn't wasted. Before my eyes started to react I loved this remover because it did so well at removing all traces of makeup, even the really stubborn pigmented eye shadow and waterproof mascara. I didn't need to rug or tug at my eyes it was very gentle so that's why it was a shock that this product caused a reaction in my eyes. If you have used this product before and have no reaction I would definitely recommend using it because it works so well but for me, it's not the best anymore.

Repurchase? Im so sad that I have reacted to this remover so for now, I'm going to stick with my Simple eye makeup remover

Revolution Fast Base Concealer

I have been using this product on and off for a long time now ever since I first tried it for a review back in 2018. This product actually replaced another old favourite of mine which was the Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser, I chose to keep using the Revolution one because it performed just as well but was slightly cheaper. I like this concealer because it conceals my dark circles really well but the consistency of this concealer is still very light and doesn't cause creases to the under eyes. The sponge applicator of this product makes it so easy to apply just the right amount of product to my undereye so they don't look too thick or cakey. If you don't want to use a sponge or brush this concealer easily blends out with just your fingers. This concealer is also reduced on Amazon to be even cheaper!

Repurchase? I'm going to use up the product I have on the go at the moment and then get this one again

Paulas Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant

On my birthday back in September, I ordered a few skincare products to help with my problematic skin and this was one of the products. I decided to get the smaller version to give myself a chance to try out the product before purchasing the full size which is a little pricier. In the deluxe sample size, you get 30ml which looks tiny but it lasted me a month and a half and for the last few weeks I was using it twice a day. I used this product to replace my physical exfoliator because I wanted to see how a Liquid exfoliator would suit my skin. My skin actually reacted really well, I have pretty oily skin and after using this product for around 2 weeks I could notice that my skin wasn't as oily especially on my nose. Another thing I noticed was that the blackheads on my nose also weren't as visible. If you are wanting to try out this product for the first time I would recommend trying out the smaller version first and then if you like it go ahead and get the full-size version.

Repurchase? Once all my Christmas shopping is done this product is first on my to-buy list

Smashbox Superfan Mascara

I have loved this mascara ever since I got it a few years ago for my birthday. I hadn't tried much from Smashbox at the time but this product made me want to try more from the brand. This product does everything that I want a mascara to do, it lengthens, curls and volumises the lashes without making them look spidery or clumpy. The applicator of this mascara is a plastic wand with short spikes on it which make it easier to get right into all of the lashes and coating them all with the product. Another thing that I really like about this mascara is that it doesn't smudge or flake away through the day, I could put it on in the morning wear it for hours and it still looks like I've freshly applied it by the evening. I would recommend everyone give this mascara a try if you haven't yet.

Repurchase? It's going on my Christmas list!

  6. It's great to know that you got on well with the Paula's Choice product, I've been wanting to try some of their stuff for a while now. It's such a shame about the Nivea?! That one has been a long time favourite of mine too but I've actually been using the Simple one you mentioned recently x
