You know when you have a magazine and you flick through the pages and see the samples and think that you'll try it later and never actually do it, then your just like me. This time I decided to go through all the magazines I have (which is a lot) and actually try the products and see if I like them and if I would actually purchase them.

Shampoo & Conditioner's
From about four different magazines three of them has different hair products or treatments and two of them are from L'Oreal and the other was from Herbal Essences.

From L'Oreal I got Elvive Phytoclear Anti-Dandruff Regulating Shampoo (What a mouthful) and Extradinary Clay Masque Pre Shampoo Treatment. The Clay Masque I've actually tried before and loved it! it was perfect for my hair type and it really help remove the oil from my roots without making it dry. The Anti-Dandruff shampoo was lovely but it wasn't for me, I dont have dandruff so couldn't tell if it was working but it smelt lovely and did leave my hair feeling soft.

The Herbal Essences Shampoo and Conditioner are argan oil of morocco and they smell amazing! It is a repairing product which would be good for people with heat or colour damaged hair. It left my hair feeling really smooth and it made me want to do the hair flip like the models do in all the adverts.

Skincare
I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of skincare products that I got in my magazines, I got two moisturisers, one from Simple and one from Clinique and one body cream which was Palmer's Coconut Oil Body Lotion.

I was very happy when I got the Palmer's coconut oil body lotion, I have used this product for years and I love how it smells and makes my skin feel. I didn't need to try this sample out but ill keep it in case im going away for a weekend and need a small bit of body lotion.

For the moisturiser I have the Clinique pep-start hydroblur moisturiser, I have heard so much about this moisturiser but have never been able to try it out. Its an oil-free formula which is perfect for my skin type and it claims to blur imperfections (need!). There was only a very small amount of product so I was only able to use the product twice so I couldn't tell if it made a difference on my skin but I liked the texture and would consider trying it out again.

The other moisturiser that I got a sample for was the Simple Hydrating Booster for dry and dehydrated skin. I wouldn't have picked this moisturiser out because it isn't for my skin type but I did give it a try and its a lovely consistency and leaves my skin feeling soft but I wouldn't purchase this only because it isn't for my skin.

Perfume
I think in magazines you mainly get either hair product samples or perfume and surprisingly I only got two perfume samples in for different magazines. The perfumes that I got were Guerlain Mom and Lancome La vie est belle.

The Guerlain perfume was my favourite out of the two. It has a stronger scent which I like in perfume. It would be perfect for someone who likes sexy deep scents and I think it would also be great to wear on a date or a late evening event. The Lancome perfume has a slight floral scent to it which isn't my favourite but would be perfect for people who like more delicate scents. The Lancome perfume would also be good to wear everyday.

Out of the two scents the Guerlain perfume is my favourite and I think I would purchase it (or have someone get if for me as a present because its expensive!)

Pin For Later...

I was pleasantly surprised with all the samples that I got in my magazines most of the items I really liked and would consider buying to try out some more which I didn't think would happen. Have you tried any samples from magazines?
