march birchbox

Here we are again with another Birchbox post and this month we are here with the March box which is actually my 1-year box! I'm (again) really excited to see what is in this box as I love the design this month which I think is partly because in March it's International Woman's Day!
When I first saw this Bronzer before I even opened the package the first thing that came to mind was that it probably wouldn't be the right shade but I was wrong. The shade I got was slightly lighter than I usually go for but it actually looked really nice once I blended it into my skin. If I was even the slightest bit more tanned the colour would be too light for me. The formula of this bronzer is really nice, it blends out easily and it doesn't take too much effort to give the skin a nice sunkissed look. On the description of this product, it says that you can also use this bronzer as eye shadow which I thought was a really good idea because the shade seems like a great crease shade which would work for a lot of different looks.

Lipcote & Co - Browcote - £6.99

I have heard of this product being raved about over the years and I've always wanted to try it but I've never really gotten round to it and I don't really know why. When I saw that I had this I was seriously excited (sad I know). I love a good brow product, especially brow gel as I have the most unruly brows that go in all different directions. I have been using this brow gel since I received it and have really been loving it. I was a little worried that my brows would have a wet look to them if the gel didn't fully dry down but it didn't, the gel dried down really quick and kept my brows tamed all day. The only issue that I have with this brow gel is that I wish the brush was a tiny bit small so you can get a bit of control when applying but other than that I love the gel.

GlamGlow Tropicalcleanse - RRP £22

Another GlamGlow product that I've gotten recently, the first product was the Gravity Forming Treatment mask which you can read about in my recent post 'Drugstore Vs High-End: Silver Firming Masks' and then the other product is this cleanser. Whenever I think of GlamGlam I always just picture masks but they have a whole range of skincare products including this cleanser which doubles as an exfoliator. I have been using this a few times a week and I'm really enjoying it, this cleanser is nice and thick with small granules in it making it great for gentle exfoliation. This cleanser can be used daily but I've only been using it two times a week to get the most out of the product, the full price of this cleanser is more than I like to spend but I definitely think it's worth it.

Generation Clay Detoxifying Clay Mask - RRP £28.50

Getting masks in my Birchboxes are my favourite (apart from the makeup of course!) and this mask excited me a lot. I have been having a bad skin time and it seriously needed a good pick me up. This mask claims to draw out dirt, detoxify, clarify and boost hydration using activated charcoal. I have used this mask around two times since getting it and have really enjoyed it, the mask applies pretty thick to the skin and does dry down very quickly to a point where I couldn't really move my face. I left the mask on for probably around minutes each time and then removed it with a warm damp cloth. I don't usually use masks that dry down and need removing just because I'm slightly lazy but this mask was really easy to remove. My skin did feel slightly tight after removing the mask but it also felt really soft and smooth. I will continue to use this mask and see if it helps with all the spots I've been getting recently!

BOD Everyday Body Boosting Sorbet Petite - £4.99

Body Cream is always a lovely addition to a Birchbox and this sorbet is definitely worth it. I had never heard of this brand before using this Birchbox so I was intrigued to give it a go. This lotion claims to deliver intense hydration and it also has a tightening effect. I have only used this cream a few times because I actually want to take this away with me as its the perfect size. When using this cream I could tell straight away that this lotion was going to work for me. I must say that I didn't notice a big difference in the tightening of my skin but it did feel a lot more hydrated.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau De Toilette - £44

I do always like to receive perfume samples in my Birchboxes but I do wish that this came in a bigger size but it is a little extra gift that was thrown in this month as you usually get 5 products. I had tried this perfume out before a few years ago and did really enjoy it but then I sort of just forgot about it but trying it again from this little sample size has reminded me how much I enjoyed it the first time. This perfume is a mix between floral and fruity scents which makes it really fresh and perfect for spring.

  1. I used to get Birchboxes but had to stop because I had a drawerful of products that I hadn't had a chance to use before the next box arrived! I like the look and sound of the Glamglow cleanser, and body sorbet the best. I have very dry skin on my legs so this would be an ideal. Glad you loved everything this month and thank you for sharing :) Lisa x

    1. I do get that sometimes where I have too many products to get through but I love it! The GlamGlow cleanser was probably my favourite from the box this month, the body sorbet is also really lovely, looking forward to using that on holiday! X
