I have tried a number of Lord & Berry products before and mostly all from my Birchboxes like in my June Birchbox when I got the Stobing Highlighter Pencil. Black eyeliner in the waterline has been my signature look since I was around 15, I've tried other coloured liners but I always end up coming back to the black liner. I think over the years I have become very picky with my liner and I have found the favourites that I always use so I was very excited to give this liner a go. This liner applies so easily and creamy and was instantly very black as some liners don't have enough pigmentation. I have been wearing this liner a lot since I got this box and the longevity of this liner is actually really great and lasts all day, it wears away slightly but not too much where you can't see it anymore. This liner will definitely be staying in my permanent collection.
This product is totally different than anything that I've used on my hair before because it's actually a pre-shampoo treatment which I've never actually used before. This product is described to add elasticity, manageability, hydration and shine and it also claims to be for all hair types which I'm not 100% convinced on. I've used this product once since getting it in this months box and I did actually really like it, I wouldn't say that it's completely changed my life or hair but I did quite like the effect that it gave my hair. It left my hair looking silkier and I could understand where it said it would help the manageability as I felt my hair was a bit easier to brush through than it usually is when it's still wet. Once styled my hair did look really smooth and shiny and I'm going to continue using it to see if it further improves my hair.

BIRCHBOX UK

I had never actually heard of Beautianiq Beauty before until back to my April Birchbox last year where I got the Fill + Tame Brow Gel which I still sometimes use. When I first saw this product I thought it was the same product but it turned out to be a mascara which I always like to test out. Even though I have false lashes I still always use a good mascara on my bottom lashes to really add length and separate the lashes and there are only a few mascaras that really do this for me. I've been using this mascara a lot since I got it and have been really enjoying it, The brush is on the larger side and I think would probably be better for the upper lashes but it did the job for me. My lower lashes were definitely separated but I think I would have liked them to look slightly longer. When if I ever give up my lash extensions I will be testing this out on my upper lashes to see if it would really help to get the look that I like.

When I first saw this product I was instantly excited, not because of the brand (I haven't actually heard of it before) but because of it being a facial sunscreen. I use SPF every day which everyone should be doing to make sure that our skin is fully protected from the sun. When I go on holiday and I spend a lot of time in the sun, I don't like to use body sun creams because I feel they can be too thick and can clog up the pores so I always like to use a cream which is specifically for the face. This suncream has antioxidants and vitamin e which keeps the skin hydrated and fully protected. I've only tried this product once before as I'm wanting to save as much of it as I can to take to Jamaica with me. When I used this suncream I noticed that it didn't leave a white cast which is amazing and it soaked into the skin really quickly and left my skin feeling extra smooth. I can't wait to use this product more on holiday!

Whenever I get a product from Nuxe I'm always so excited to try it out because everything I've tried from the brand I've loved. This product is one of the latest launches which is an oil that is enriched with 7 botanical oils which leave the skin feeling silky and smooth. I love that the Nuxe oils are multiuse and this product you can use for rehydrating the body but you can also apply it to the lengths of your hair to add shine. I have the oil with glitter in it which I love to use if I'm going on a night out to add a bit more glam to my look but for my more natural days this oil would be perfect to use. I've never tried it on my hair as I don't want it to look oily but I may take it on holiday with me as the sun dries out my hair this may rehydrate it and add shine.

So that's it for another Birchbox and overall it was another successful box full of new products to really test out! Have you tried any of these products before?

  2. Your photos are always amazing. Just thought I should mention that every once in a while. I don't think I've tried anything you got this month but I've heard so many incredible things about the elasticizer, I was actually quite shocked that it wasn't life changing. Love that you got an SPF too! x

    1. Thank you! I think the elasticizer would work really well on a different hair type to mine as my hair can be quite challenging. The spf was one of my favourites from this months box! X

And I'm intrigued by the hair elasticizer, I've never tried anything like that before either! Glad you liked this month's Birchbox and thank you for sharing :) Lisa x

    1. Thank you! I’m so happy with this theme, finally found one that’s I really like. The Nuxe oils are so versitile and it’s such a lovely oil that doesn’t leave the skin feeling greasy. I think the elasticizer would work with other hair types as mine can be quite demanding! X
