iPhone blog apps flatlay

Apps really do make the world go round and being a blogger has shown me how reliant I actually am with them to get my posts ready to be published. Being a blogger can be hard and even though I haven't been doing it as long as some other people, in the time that I have been blogging I have found quite a few apps that help me make it a little bit easier. In today's post, I'm going to let you in on the secret and share with you all my favourite apps that I use as a blogger!

Unfold

This app I actually discovered a little late in the game. I'm not too sure where I heard about it but it is one of my favourite apps that I actually use on every blog post. Unfold is an app where you can make really cute Instagram stories using different templates from the app. This is a free app but you may want to make some purchases of the different themes and templates but they are pretty cheap at only £1.99. This app is a must for me and I feel like it has really helped with my Instagram story game and it helps me to promote my posts in such a cute way. It takes me literally seconds to use this app and to create really lovely stories that I have found attracted more views to my Instagram photos. When you have decided what template you want you can add all of your own images and edit the text, font and colour of the background to create all different versatile stories that everyone will love.

Pinterest

I know this isn't really a new one for anyone and I'm sure we all have Pinterest but I needed to add it to my list as I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of it. Pinterest is an app that you can create a board and share different pictures depending on your interests, for example, a few of my boards are Makeup Wishlists, Summer Style and Plants. The way you can use Pinterest for your blog is by adding your blog photos to different boards and having links to your posts, Another way you can use Pinterest for your blog is by being involved in group boards where a group of people share their posts and you can repin the ones your interested in and check out their posts while doing so. I also like to use Pinterest for ideas for my blog posts if my having writer's block. Pinterest is really growing on me and it's fastly becoming one of my favourite social media sites. Abode Lightroom

Scrolling through Instagram I have to say that I was slightly jealous at other peoples editing skills compared to mine and on further inspection, a lot of people were using the Lightroom app. When I first saw that it was Lightroom I was expecting it to be pricy but the app is actually free! This photo editing app allows you to do so many things like adding effects to changing the lighting and colour of your photos. If you've heard about Lightroom you have definitely heard about Presets, once you have made an edit that you like you can save the preset and use it for all of your photos this is how I like to keep a theme with my photos and keep my Instagram looking clean and aesthetically pleasing. It did take a while for me to get the hang of this app but after playing around with it for a while I began to find all the tools that I need for my blog post photos.

Google Analytics

This app is slightly different from the other ones on this list but it is probably one that I use the most. Google Analytics is a service which tracks traffic and reports from different websites and again this is free. I added Google Analytics to my blog after a few months of starting it and it helped me track my views and see where all my traffic is coming from. Once installed on to your blog you can use the app to find out all the information that you need easily. This app will show you your page views for the day or month or over the whole time you've had it installed. It will also show you where your views are coming from for example from organic search (searching on google) or social media. Google Analytics will help you with a lot of other things to do with blogging like when you pitch to brands and they might want to know your exact stats and with google analytics it allows you to get all of this information all in one place. I'm really not an expert about it but a quick google search helped me find out all I needed to know.

Canva

For the last but definitely not the least and its the Canva app. This is another app that I probably use for all of my blog posts. I mainly use the desktop version but if I ever need some quick graphics for either my Instagram or Twitter page the Canva app is what I use. This is again another free app which gives you all the tools to make all different graphics like Insgtram stories, Twitter posts, Pinterest graphics and loads more. You also get hundreds of free templates to add your own spin too to make them your own. I like to use the Canva app the most to make Twitter post graphics to promote my new blog posts, with this you can also create your own Twitter header. Anything I use on my social media I like to create it on the Canva app because it saved straight to my phone and its super easy to upload it straight to my social apps. I've created so many graphics using Canva like my blog header, Pinterest graphics and some of my Instagram stories and it literally only takes me minutes.

  11. I use most of these! I've never heard of Unfold though and it sounds great, definitely going to check that out tomorrow. I love Canva but I really don't like using the app version, I find it so much easier to edit things on desktop. Love Lightroom, especially in winter and GA is an essential! Great suggestions x
