September Makeup Favourites Flatlay

It's very nearly the end of September which means that Summer is officially over and Autumn has just begun. In September I have found some amazing products that I cannot put down and in this post, I will be sharing with you all of my September Favourites.

September Makeup Favourites - Eye Products

Revolution Renaissance Eye Liner

I am very late getting on the Renaissance eyeliner train but I'm now definitely on board (sorry for the pun!). I got this liner in one of Superdrugs 3 for 2 deals and I was definitely not disappointed. I have used so many different liners in the past that just didn't live up to what I thought they would be like, they either fade or smudge or flake away but this liner doesn't actually do any of that. The tip of this liner is a perfect size as it isn't too long and flimsy but it also isn't too short and stumpy and I am able to get the perfect cat eye using this liner pretty easily and I think that even makeup newbies couldn't go wrong with this liner. One of the other things that I love about this liner is just how black the colour comes out, I know that sounds a bit strange but I have tried liners in the past where they almost look grey and that's not the colour that I was going for!

Benefit The Great Brow Basics Kit

This was a kit that I was actually given to me from my boyfriend for my birthday and he definitely picked a good one. I've only been using this kit for the last two weeks of September but it has already gained a real place in my everyday makeup routine. In this kit, you get the Precisely My Brow Pencil (smaller version), Goof Proof Brow Pencil and the Gimmie Brow Fibre Gel, out of all of these products I've only actually tried the Gimme Brow gel before so to have the whole kit was very exciting. To do my brows with this kit I have been using the Precisely My Brow Pencil to draw the initial outline of my brows because the tip of this product is extra tiny and your able to create some really sharp lines with it, this pencil also has the best formula because it isn't too dry or too waxy. The next step after I've drawn the outline of my brows is to fill them in and for this, I have been using the Goof Proof Brow Pencil, this pencil is larger than the other pencil in this kit and has a larger and slanted tip. I never really used to like using brow pencils like these but to fill out the whole brow its a lot easier than using the extra thin tips and you can also get a dramatic brow or a natural brow look. The last step for my brows is to set them, I always need to do this because my brow can be very unruly, For this I use the Gimme Brow Gel that I have in shade 5, this gel is perfect for all brow types whether their thick or thin because of the extra small brush end making it so much easier to use without it getting everywhere.

Diorshow Pump 'N' Volume Mascara

This is probably one of the most expensive mascaras that I have in my collection and that's why I only have the tester version at the moment. I have been using this tester mascara for a few weeks now and it's still going strong with a lot of product left to use. I have used so many different drugstore mascaras that I have really loved but this mascara seriously has a special place in my heart! When I stopped using lash extensions as much I was on the lookout for a mascara that gave me the same sort of effect with my natural lashes. The brush on this mascara wand has plastic bristles which I have found makes it so much easier to get into all of the lashes and separate them all and coat them all with mascara and give my lashes a really lovely volumised effect. When I wear this mascara My lashes just look so much thicker and longer and that is all I can ask for from a mascara. Even though this mascara is £28 and I love a good bargain, its that good that I would happily pay that price.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Translucent Powder

I have probably been using this powder since I was about 14 on and off. I have tried so many different translucent powders that I have really loved but I always seem to come back to this powder whenever I run out of my other products. This powder is the perfect product for me just to have in my bag and use throughout the day to make sure that my skin stays oil-free all day. Whenever I use this powder I never feel like my skin looks cakey just because of how thinly milled the powder. This powder does come in a few different shades but I always tend to go for the translucent as I find its the best shade to set foundation and concealer with. Even though I use this product multiple times a week I still haven't reached the pan on this product yet so this powder really lasts a long time!

W7 Glowcomotion Pink It Up! Highlighter

Highlighter has always been a favourite makeup product of mine to use, it always just completes the look and I don't feel fully made up until I have my highlighter on. The highlighter that I've been using the most this month is the W7 Glowcomotion Pink It Up Highlighter, I have used the original version of this highlighter for years and have loved the really pretty gold shade. This product has a pinky shade to it which I love the most. I have found that this highlighter is the perfect product to use on a daily basis because it isn't too sparkly and glittery but it gives the skin more of a natural glow which I've found to be perfect for a more natural everyday look. I also love that with this product because you can actually layer it up, if you want more of a glowy natural look I would only apply one layer but if you want a more intense glow you can add more layers of highlighter on top without it looking cakey and show the texture of the skin.

  2. I absolutely adore Benefit brow products, I used to use them all of the time, I had to resort to a cheaper option as it is quite expensive, but would definitely use them again! x

  6. I've really been investing and translucent powders because it keeps my face matte and the shine away. I'm curious to try out the Rimmel powder because it's an affordable brand and you won me over when you said it lasts a long time!👏🏾
