Top 5 Hydrating Masks Flatlay

This is actually the second time writing this post because I had a bit of a disaster and the whole post deleted but now hopefully if your reading this then it finally worked. My skin like most others seems to suffer a lot during the colder months and I have spent years trying to find the right products to keep my skin feeling smooth and hydrated. In this post today I'll be sharing with you all of my favourite masks that keep my skin in tip-top condition throughout the colder months.

Sheet Mask

Top 5 Hydrating Sheet Masks

Garnier Chamomile Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask

I always try to make sure that I have at least one Garnier Sheet Mask in my skincare collection at all times just in case there's a dry skin emergency. The Garnier sheet mask is one of the most popular sheet masks that I think has come out of the drugstore and im almost sure everyone has tried it before. I like to use this mask when my skin just needs a little help with adding moisture and hydration into the skin. Whenever I use this mask my skin just seems to drink up the product and it does leave my skin feeling a lot better than it did before and the chamomile in the sheet mask helps to calm and soothe my skin. I like to use this mask the most after a long day and it really helps to hydrate the skin but also whenever I use this mask it helps to relax me as well which is another big plus from me. This mask is also made for dry and sensitive skin making it the perfect mask for all different skin types and won't irritate the skin.

Key Ingredients:
  • Chamomile - Has anti-bacterial properties and contains essential oils and antioxidants.
  • Hyaluronic Acid - Revitalizes skins outer layer to make it feel softer and smoother.

Holika Holika Juicy Sheet Mask

This is the mask that I used a lot during the summer because of the added ingredient of Aloe vera it is very soothing and anti-inflammatory for the skin. Recently I have been using this mask a lot more during the colder months as I've found that alongside the healing properties that aloe vera has it is also very hydrating for the skin. I have actually mentioned this mask before in my Korean Beauty Sheet Mask Haul and I also took it away on holiday with me to use after a long day in the sun. This mask is very healing and I have found when my skin is overly dry it can get a little sore so this is the first mask that I always go for as I can instantly feel it soothing and calming the skin. I only use this mask every now and again because it isn't the easiest to get all the time but when I do use it it is a real treat for my skin. If your someone who has pretty sensitive or inflamed skin then I would definitely recommend you try out this mask to see how well it nourishes the skin.

Key Ingredient:
  • Aloe Vera - Has a high water content making it perfect for hydrating, soothing and cooling the skin.
  • Papaya Extract - Makes an effective but nonabrasive skin exfoliant.

Cream Masks

7th Heaven Strawberry Souffle Cream Mask

7th Heaven has always been a brand that I've loved and trusted for years and my most viewed post was actually my 7th Heaven Product Favourites post all the way back to when I started my blog. When im not feeling lazy and I give my skin a nice at-home facial then this is the mask that I usually go for, it isn't as easy as applying a sheet mask but with a mask brush, it is actually really easy to apply without much mess. Whenever I use this mask I know that I'm in for a real treat because it leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft and hydrated. These masks are also really affordable so I always seem to have a collection of this mask and a few others from the range. One of the things I really love about this mask is the smell, it smells just like fresh strawberries which have to be one of my all-time favourite scents. If you have quite dry skin then I would definitely recommend you give this mask a try because im almost certain you will also love it.

Key Ingredients:
  • Strawberry - Rich in vitamin C, helps to nourish and revitalise the skin.
  • Vanilla - Has anti-inflammatory properties, which helps to calm and soothe irritated skin.

Lumene Valo Nordic C Sleeping Overnight Mask

From the few products that I've tried from the Lumene brand, I have really enjoyed including the facial oil I got in my October Birchbox. Lumene is a brand that I have been only recently discovered thanks to being subscribed to Birchbox. I have still actually got the sample that I was using back in April because with this mask a little goes a long way. Overnight Masks are probably my favourite types of masks because they are really easy to apply and you don't need to remove it as you just sleep with it on and let the mask work. This mask has a really lightweight consistency and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy or oily as it soaks in nicely. When I've used this mask the day after when I wake up my skin feeling so much smoother and hydrated. I try to use an overnight mask at least once a week and recently I have been leaning towards this one a lot more because of how moisturised it leaves my skin feeling.

Key Ingredients:
  • Arctic Cloudberry - Natural source of vitamin A & E which brightens the skin.
  • Vitamin C - Youthful radiance booster.

GLAMGLOW Thirtsymud Hydrating Treatment

This mask is definitely the most pricey one on the list but I think its worth it. Out of all the galmglow products that I've tried before I have loved and have kept using and that is including this product. This mask is a hydrating treatment that replenishes and revitalises the skin's complexion with an intense formula to infuse dry skin with long-lasting moisture. I don't use this mask as much as I would like to because im trying to save as much product as possible because the full size is a little out of my price range but when I do run all out im definitely going to repurchase. When I do use this mask I can instantly feel it working as soon as I apply it, it says to only leave it on for around 15 minutes but I usually leave it on longer just to make sure I get the most out of each application. My skin always feels really amazingly smooth and hydrated after using this mask, especially in the colder months.

Key Ingredients:
  • Raw Ginger - Rejuvenates the skin by evening skin tone and elasticity.
  • Hyaluronic Acid - Holds 1000x its own weight in water making it perfect for hydrating the skin.

  1. The only one I've tried here is the Garnier sheet mask. I love hydrating sleeping masks at this time of year. Because my skin is on the drier side anyway I definitely feel the difference as soon as the cold starts to set in and reach for products like this more frequently x

  3. All of the masks sound fantastic but the Holika sheet mask has me written all over it. I have super sensitive skin and my face adores aloe vera, so this is something worth my investment. Thank you for the recommendation. I will share this post with my younger sister, she really likes using sheet masks too.
