Top 10 2019 Product Favourites

Its that time of year again when I like to do a round-up of all the items I have been obsessed with throughout the year. This year I have found many new products that I now love and I have also rediscovered some old favourites that are now apart of my everyday collection. 2019 has been a great year for me and my blog and because of this, I can't wait to see what 2020 will bring. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you all of my favourite products and items from 2019!

Makeup

Words cannot describe how much I love this liner but I'm going to try and give it a go for you. This liner is really leaps and bownds above of other liners that I've loved in the past. Firstly whoever created the formula of this liner needs a raise because it is such a dark black colour (you know what I mean) that doesn't fade throughout the day or start to look grey after a few hours. This liner stays put with no flaking, creasing or wearing away, I also took this liner away on holiday with me and it held up in 30° heat. Another reason why I had to add this liner to my list is that the felt tip applicator is slightly shorter than other liners that I've used before and this actually helps to give a really sharp liner look and I have also found that it gives more control when using the liner. This is definitely a liner that I will be bringing into 2020 with me!

2. Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil

I have never really been someone who has an all-time favourite brow product, I like to try out new products a lot of the time but then I tried The Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil and now I won't be looking back. When I do my brows I actually use 3 different products a micro pencil to outline my brows, a thicker pencil which is the Goof Proof Pencil to fill in my brows and then to set them into place I like to use a brow gel. This brow pencil has been the perfect product to add to my brow routine, I used to fill my brows in with a micro pencil and I would use so much of the product up in just one go and then I started to use the Goof Proof Pencil and this has changed the way I do my brows and it has made it so much quicker and easier. When I first started using brow products I didn't actually like the slanted brow pencil but since trying this one I have been using it every day and loving it.

3. Revolution Pro Brow Volume and Sculpt Gel

Another brow product but this time its from Revolution Pro. This brow mascara is a product that I have been using since the beginning of the year and I actually use this product more on no-makeup makeup days. This is the best brow mascara that actually helps to fill in my brows and add definition even with just using this product and nothing else. The bristle brush head on this product is really small that it's actually the perfect size to fill in my brows and it doesn't get messy or go out of the lines and make a big mess. For an easy and quick brow look, this is definitely the product that I would go for.

4. MUA Pro Base Long Wear Matte Foundation

This year I have tried quite a few different foundations from either the drugstore or the high street and the one I have used the most is the MUA Pro Base Long Wear Foundation. This foundation is all my favourite things all into one product, it's long-lasting, has a matte finish, matches my skin tone well and it also is really affordable. Firstly this foundation is only £5 which is one of the most affordable foundations that I have in my collection, it goes on the skin and blends out amazingly with either a brush or a sponge. Once the foundation has been applied it leaves my skin looking smooth and matte and it also doesn't sit in my pores or fine lines. I do have pretty oily skin so it does start to show after a few hours but it keeps my shiny skin at bay a lot longer than other foundations.

5. Lipstick Queen Lipstick Pawn

In my makeup collection, I think its actually lipsticks that I have the most of which you can read about in my Lipstick Collection. This lipstick from Lipstick Queen is a matte formula and the colour is a really pretty deep coral nude shade which I have found to be one of my all-time favourite nudes. I have worn this lipstick on so many different occasions whether it's for an everyday look but I've also worn it during the evening with a lip gloss over the top and it changes the look completely. When I wear this lipstick on its own even though its a matte formula it is very comfortable to wear and doesn't dry out the lips at all. This is a lipstick that I will definitely repurchase when I run out of it.

6. Pixi Glow Tonic

Im sure everyone who is anyone knows about Pixi Glow Tonic. Toner has always been a skincare product that I haven't been too fussed about a specific brand, I always just seem to use whatever I have at the time that was until I tried Pixi Glow Tonic. This toner is a product that I now can't live without, This toner is light and nourishing and it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or sensitive. Glow Tonic contains Gycolic Acid which helps to gently buss away dead skin cells, impurities and it also helps to refine the appearance of pores. Since using this toner I have really seen a big difference in the condition of my skin. I have pretty oily skin and this toner has helped to make my pores not so visible and my skin doesn't get as oily anymore. I would suggest anyone that has oily skin to give this toner a try and see the wonders that it can do for your skin.

7. Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

Overnight masks are probably one of my favourite types of masks and during my time I have tried quite a few ut none of those really live up to the Origins Drink Up Overnight Mask. This mask is the first thing I use when my skin is being difficult and dry. When I apply this mask before bed and then I wake up the next day my skin looks and feels a lot softer and smoother. I apply quite a thin layer and a little goes a long way with this mask as only a small amount spreads over my face and neck. The first thing I noticed about this mask when I got it a few months ago is the smell, it smells really sweet and fruity which I love but it doesn't linger for too long and it soaks into the skin quite quickly and doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy.

8. PMD Clean*

This device I was very kindly gifted this year (read my full review here) and have been using it ever since. For a while, before I got the PMD Clean I was looking around for ages trying to find which cleansing device I wanted to go for and then I had the opportunity to try out this brush and I definitely wasn't disappointed. I must say I don't use this every day but when I do use it I can definitely tell. I get spots pretty easily so I need to make sure that Im cleansing thoroughly and with this device, it definitely helps me to make sure my skin is squeaky clean. This device has 4 different settings, two for cleansing and the other two for helping serums to sink into the skin. I would recommend everyone who is on the lookout for a new brush to try out this one out.

9. Jean-Paul Gaultier Classique Eau De Toilette

Perfume has always been a luxury product for me, I have a few perfumes that I save for special occasions and this perfume is one of them. My mum used to wear this perfume a lot when I was younger and then when I got older and tried it for myself I instantly fell in love and for some reason this year I have become obsessed. This perfume is the perfect sexy and feminine scent that is still strong and is perfect to wear in the evenings or on holiday. I would describe this perfume as bold and sweet with notes of rose, orange blossom and vanilla making it the perfect all-around musky and sweet scent.

10. Coco & Eve Like A Virgin Super Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque

This is another product that a lot of people have raved about and I definitely know why. I always find that whenever I wash and blowdry my own hair it never looks as good as when my hairdresser does it but when I used this mask one day my hair looked a lot glossier and silky and the only thing I changed in my hair care routine was using this mask. I first tried out this product after I got it in my February Birchbox and the small sample I got is still going strong as a little goes a long way. I do leave this product on slightly longer than it says and once my hair is dried it looks and feels amazing!

  1. I love the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil! I used to buy it but I couldn't afford to buy it so I switched to something else, but I'm really tempted to go back to it again! x

    1. I think the Good Proof brow pencil on its own is really expensive but when they do it in the sets of the other brow products that’s when I like to get it as you get a better deal! X

  4. I love Goof Proof too! I hate spending money on brow products (don't ask why I'd happily spend £40 on foundation but hate spending more than £10 on brows) but the Benefit ones are definitely worth it. I really struggled when it came to putting my yearly favourites together this year but one thing that really stood out on my list was the MUFE Water Blend foundation x
