During the Lockdown, I have had a lot more time to play around with makeup and while looking through my collection I discovered that I have got a few key pieces of makeup that I can't live without and that I will always repurchase. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you all of the makeup I can't live without!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

This foundation is one of the most expensive foundations that I have in my collection and it is definitely worth every penny. Over the years I have repurchased this foundation around 3 times and each time I have finished the product completely which rarely happens. Before I tried this foundation I didn't really want to try it because it is pretty pricey and I didn't want to like it because I wouldn't usually spend that much on a foundation. As soon as I finally tried it I got a sample of my shade, I used it all up and went out to buy the full size right away. This foundation is perfect for anyone who loves a matte finish and also medium to full coverage. What I love most about this foundation is that the foundation shade (I wear Tawny) matches my skin tone amazingly, it blends really easily but you do have to work a little quicker with it because it does dry down quite quickly and it leaves my skin looking velvety smooth without being cakey. When I wear this foundation I know that im in for a great makeup day and I always love the look of my skin when I have it on. I try now not to use this foundation for everyday makeup because it is so pricey but I wear it mostly on special occasions or if I know that I need my makeup to last all day or night because this foundation is also really long-wearing.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

The Stay Matte Powder is probably the only product in my whole makeup collection that I have used for the longest amount of time. I first started using this powder when I was just 15 years old and over the years I cant tell you how many times I repurchased it. Ever since I started wearing makeup I loved the matte look on my skin because I have pretty oily skin I like to look as matte as possible without looking cakey. This powder is the perfect product to set any foundation in place and it is so thin that you can also apply it under the eyes and leave them looking extra smooth. When I use this powder I only use a small amount on a powder brush and lightly dust it over my skin and it leaves me looking matte but not flat. If im using a more glowy foundation this powder helps my skin not look shiny but because it's pretty thin it still allows some of the glow to show through which I love. I would suggest everyone who loves a matte finish to get this powder because it also helps the longevity of my makeup and keeps me looking oil-free for hours.

MUA Brow Define Micro Eyebrow Pencil

This product was a newer discovery for me but it has fastly become my favourite brow products. When it comes to brow products I have tried so many different ones in the past and I usually change them up a lot and never really stick to one product, that was until I tried this brow pencil. In the past, some of my favourite brow pencils were the expensive ones like Anastasia Beverly Hills Bow Wiz which I was obsessed with but it didn't last very long and it is pretty pricey for a brow pencil. I first tried this product because I had just finished my previous brow pencil and wanted to try something new and with this pencil being only £2.50 I had to try it. This pencil helps to give my brows such a sharp and precise look because of the extra small pencil applicator. I like this pencil because the formula is amazing and you only have to apply such a small amount of pressure and you get a fully pigmented line ad this pencil isn't dry at all. I like to use this pencil to outline my brows and then fill them in with a really light hand to get hair-like strokes. The formula of this pencil is that it is slightly waxy so it actually also helps to keep my brow hairs in place.

Smashbox Superfan Mascara

Mascara is another product that I don't usually have one single favourite of, I usually change up my mascara quite often and use all different ones depending on how I feel but the one I have been reaching for the most often is the Smashbox Superfan Mascara. I tried this mascara a few months ago and completely fell in love with it as it does everything that I want a mascara to do. I like my mascaras to lengthen, separate, define and volumise my lashes and this mascara does all of this. I already have black lashes that are naturally pretty curly so I don't really need them to be curled but I love the look of having longer and more defined lashes. This mascara does everything I want it to do and it also lasts really well on the lashes without crumbling or wearing away while wearing it. This mascara again is a little price than I usually like to spend but it is definitely worth it. What I also love about this mascara is the wand, I usually like the bristle applicators but this one is plastic with short spikes all around which I have found helps to separate the lashes and helps coat them all in the product.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer

Hoola Bronzer is probably a product that you have all tried before and I'm sure that you also loved it as much as I do. This product is so iconic and whenever I think of Benefit as a brand the first product that comes to mind is Hoola Bronzer. This bronzer was probably one of the first high-end product that I tried and I was hooked on it. I couldn't live without this bronzer in my collection because it blends into the skin amazingly and leaves the skin looking like you've just stepped off a plane. I have only tried the original of this product but I would love to try some of the darker shades as the shade now is perfect for my skin tone but when I get a tan it is slightly too light for me. I have tried quite a few other bronzers before and a lot of them can look patchy on the skin but this bronzer applies so seamlessly and blends out really easily without too much effort needed. If you haven't tried this bronzer yet I would suggest everyone give it a try and you will see why I love it so much.

Rimmel The Only One Lipstick

Out of my makeup collection, the product I have the most of is Lipsticks, I love trying out new shades and different brands but the one lipstick that I use the most is The Only One Lipstick from Rimmel. I make sure that I always have one of these lipsticks in my collection because it lasts really well on the lips without it stating that its a long-lasting formula. The formula of this lipstick is a little different to my other lipsticks because it applies really creamy and then it slightly dries down which helps it last really well on the lips. Another reason why I love this lipstick is that it's really comfortable to wear and it feels more like a balm on the lips than a lipstick and it doesn't feel sticky at all. This product also comes in so many different shades that there will be a shade out there for you that you will love!

  1. I've wanted to try that foundation for ages but have always been worried I wouldn't get the right shade for me. I too love using the Rimmel powder and Benefit Hoola bronzer, there is something so natural yet buildable with them.

  3. I've never tried the Double Wear full coverage foundation, but I LOVE the Double Wear Light 😍 especially for summer, it's such a great light coverage and looks amazing on the skin! I'll have to try the full coverage one too when my current runs out 🥰

  4. Aah sometimes it's best to invest in expensive things, especially when it comes to foundation, so I'm glad that (even though it's pricey) that the Estee Lauder was worth every penny! I've been meaning to buy a new eyebrow pencil and I am glad that MUA is cruelty-free, so I'll definitely give that a try next time!

  5. Rimmel Stay Matte is also my favourite!! I used to love the Hoola bronzer in Lite but it’s a bit too light for my skin tone. Loved reading your post, thanks for sharing x

  6. I love staple products like this that you'll always have in your collection without fail. I don't think there's a girl in England who hasn't had a Stay Matte in her collection at some point. The first ones that stand out for me are the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light and my Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector. A few of my all time favourites have been discontinued in the last year or two so I'm looking for replacements right now. x
