Problematic Skincare Routine Products

{Previously Gifted Products}In the UK we are currently still in Lockdown and im sure we are now on week 8? Since the lockdown has begun I have seen my skin seem to get worse which I wasn't expecting because I've only worn makeup around three times. I think the stress of everything has really impacted my skin but while I've had the time I have put together a new routine of products to help my problematic skin. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you the products I've been using in my problematic skincare routine!

Cleanser - Soap & Glory The Fab Pore Foaming Cleanser*

A few months ago I was very kindly gifted a few products from Soap & Glory with one of them being The Fab Pore Foaming Cleanser, which is designed for problematic skin. I have been using this cleanser on and off for months and I'm now using it every day in my skincare routine to help treat my problematic skin. This cleanser helps to make my skin feel purified and cleansed. The ingredients in this cleanser include Witch Hazel which works as an astringent to shrink pores, soothe the skin and reduce inflammation and Bisabolol which is recognised for its soothing and calming characteristics. In the past, I have had quite bad skin and suffered from spots and I have used certain cleansers that are supposed to be for problematic skin and they can be very drying and leave the skin feeling tight but this cleanser does the complete opposite. This cleanser leaves my skin feeling very smooth and I can visibly see a difference in the size of my pores around my nose. I have also noticed that using this cleanser in combination with the other products in my routine I notice my skin isn't getting as oily throughout the day which is amazing.

Toner - Pixi Glow Tonic

I was very late to try this product and I only tried it for the first time last year and since then I have been loving it. Im sure most of you reading this post has already tried this toner before because I think its once of Pixi's most popular product. This toner definitely lives up to the hype because it helps to gently exfoliate the skin leaving it looking brighter, soothes and hydrates the skin. I use this toner all the time but I have also added it into my problematic skincare routine because it contains ingredients to help fight off those pesky spots. Some of the key ingredients in this toner include Glycolic Acid which helps to exfoliate the skin, Aloe Vera which soothes and hydrates the skin and Ginseng which improves circulation and energises the skin. When I use this toner I can tell that it's working because it gives the skin a slight tingle sensation but this only lasts seconds. As soon as I've used this toner I can see a difference in my skin, my pores appear nearly invisible and my skin feels amazing. This is another product like the one above that doesn't leave the skin feeling tight or tingly, it just feels smooth and soft.

Exfoliator - Procoal Activated Charcoal Exfoliating Face Scrub*

This was another product that I have been gifted in the past and have a post all about this Procoal Face Scrub. I don't use exfoliators every day because they can be too harsh, I use this face scrub around twice a week to help remove dead skin cells. At the moment my skin has been different because I have oily skin but now im also getting dry skin in patches like around my nose and forehead and to help get rid of that dryness I use this product. Some of the ingredients in this face scrub include Activated Charcoal which helps to effectively cleanse the skin and unclog pores, Allantoin that encourages the natural skin exfoliation and Calendula Oil that helps to restore the skins water balance. What I like about this scrub is that it isn't too harsh on the skin and it effectively but gently smoothes the surface of the skin by removing dead skin cells. After using this scrub my skin feels amazingly soft and you can see that add the dead skin on the surface has been removed and it leaves my skin looking less dull and a lot brighter.

Mask - Quick Fix Facials Anti-Blemish Mask

Face masks are really important to add into your skincare routine when you have problematic skin especially ones that are designed for blemished prone skin just like this mask. I only use this mask around once a week and since I have been using it I have seen a big improvement in my skin. This is a clay mask which means that it sets dry on the skin and you have to remove it with warm water and once you do your skin will feel amazing. The key ingredients in this mask are Green Clay and Kaolin that help to cleanse the skin by drawing out impurities, Willow Bark which helps to clear out pores and Blueberry that helps to revitalise the skin. This mask is the perfect product to use when my skin is feeling very irritated and blemished because when you apply it to the skin it soothes and calms the surface of the skin. I also like to use this mask because when it's drying I like to sit back and relax and let the mask work its magic. When I remove this mask after around 10 - 15 minutes my skin feels amazingly smooth and plump.

Spritz - Balance Me PHA Clarifying Mist

This product is a newer product to me but I have been loving it since the first time I tried it. Any product that claims to help blemish-prone skin I have to try out. This Mist is described to be a clarifying mist which combines exfoliating PHAs with antibacterial ingredients to calm skin prone to blemishes which sounds like the perfect product to me. I like to use this mist just before I apply my moisturiser to make sure that all the ingredients get absorbed into my skin. Some of the ingredients in this mist include Zinc which is plant-derived and reduces sebum secretion to address shine, Allantoin which has soothing and moisturising effects and Witch Hazel which is a natural astringent that tightens the skin and reduces inflammation. After using this mist my skin feels fresh and amazingly smooth.  This is a brand new product from Balance Me and I got my Delux sample in this months Birchbox so keep a lookout on the Balance Me website for when this mist gets released!

Jade Roller

This product isn't essential for my skincare routine but I like to add a little bit of luxury to make it a real treat. I like to use my Jade roller after I have applied the Clarifying Mist to make sure that all the product is absorbed into the skin. Using a jade roller helps to give gentle pressure which helps to stimulate circulation and leave the facial muscles more relaxed, Drains away toxins which allows gentle toning and the best way to use a jade roller is when its cold so it also aids in calming the skin. I don't use the roller every day but when I want to relax a bit and I like to use this roller and give my skin a treat.

Mositusuer - Environ Vita-Antioxidant AVST Moisturiser 1

This moisturiser is a product that I have mentioned before like in My Updated Skincare Routine. This has been a moisturiser that I have used on and off for years and now Im wanting to use it properly and start using up all the product and then moving up to their next level. This moisturiser can be used for all different skin types and conditions because it helps to normalise the skin. The benefits of using this moisturiser are that it helps to improve the skins moisture level, improves fine lines and wrinkles, helps to normalise the appearance of discolouration and uneven skin tone and supports healthy-looking skin. The main ingredients in this product are Vitamins A that helps to speed up skin healing and prevent breakouts, Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that aids in the skins regeneration process. I use this moisturiser morning and evening and after using it my skin feels amazing and soft. After a few weeks of using this product, you can notice your skin changing for the better, mine is a lot brighter, and my never skin (spot scars) are starting to disappear!
