Since starting my blog I have changed my editing routine so many times and have used so many different apps but now I think I've finally found one app that I'm going to stick with. The Lightroom app is really easy to use and create such lovely photos with it. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you how I edit my photos on Lightroom!

What is Lightroom?

Abode Lightroom is a free photo editing app that can be downloaded to any device, I tend to use it on my phone. In this app, you can edit photos and make presets of different edits and add them onto your photos instantly. I have made a few different presets on the app and when I need to edit a photo in the future it only takes me a matter of seconds to get the look I want for my photos.

In the beginning, I had no idea how to use Lightroom but I read a few blog posts, watched a few YouTube tutorials and played around for a bit and then I finally got the hang of it. Another thing you can do with Lightroom is that you don't have to make the presets yourself you can buy them from other creators on Etsy, I liked to make my own but I've seen so many great ones that other people have made that it made me want to buy a few!

How I make my Presets

Step 1
The first thing that I always like to do when I start making a new preset is to add some brightness to the photos, I always try to make take my photos in natural light and try not to have too many shadows but I always like to make my photos look extra bright.

On Lightroom, it's very easy to find where to brighten the photos as its one of the first icons on the bottom. To brighten a photo I go to the Light icon and this will bring up a menu with a few different options on it, I usually just play around with the Contrast and Highlight of the photo until I'm happy with the result. If I'm still not too happy with the look I then also change the Shadow of the photo to make it even brighter.

Step 2
The nest step for editing my photos and creating a new flatlay is to go to the Colour icon which is next to Light. This will help to change the overall colour of the photo, it can change things such as the temperature and tint of the photo. If you follow my Instagram you will see that most of my photos have a pink tinge to them to give my Instagram and blog more cohesion. I like to change the colour of my photos depending on the season, Lately as we are getting into Autumn I have added more of an orange tint to my photos and I will show you how I do that today.

For a more orange tone to my photos I change the Temperature and make my photos look warmer, this again I will just play around with until I get just the right colour. This can make my photos look a little too orange so I then also add a bit of a pink tint to the photo to create a nice balance.

Step 3
At this point, it hasn't taken too long to get to a colour and brightness that is happy with for my photos but it just needs a little bit more tweaking to make it perfect. After I've played around with the photos I like to make my photos look a bit more vibrant, on the same menu as Colour, if you scroll down more you will see a slider for Vibrant and again I will just add a bit of vibrancy to the photo until im happy with it, its usually around +50

Another thing I may do is add some Saturation to the photo, I only do a very small amount of this because it can make the photo look extra orange so use this one carefully.

Step 4
By now im usually finished with the overall look of the photos and happy with it but im a perfectionist when it comes to editing so I like to test out the preset on a few different photos to make sure that it looks just right and that it isn't too bright or too pink or orange looking. If it is I will just make a few tweaks so I will get to the exact look that I want.

Another few things I do is that I may add an Effect to the photo by adding a bit of Texture or Clarity to the photo. This can make the photo look really sharp and HD or it can also make the darker points of the photo stand out more, this all depends on what look im going for in the photo.

Step 5
Another thing I like to do is make my photos have a bit more Detail, by doing this I just go onto the detail tab and add some sharpness to the photo. When I do this last editing step I feel like it can really make the photo and I think that it adds more definition and gives the perfect finishing touch.

Step 6
The last step in my editing process is to save the preset, this is very important because if you don't you'll have to do this editing process all over again for every new photo you want to edit. To save your preset you need to click on the tick icon in the right-hand corner and this will save the photo and go back to the main menu, you then need to click on the photo that you edited to open it back up.

Once you have done this you need to click on the white circle icon in the right-hand side this will bring up another menu, on this menu you should click Create Preset and then you can save your preset to use on any photos you like!

  7. Image editors frequently press the image down to the size of your screen (or, surprisingly more terrible, down to the size of a window on your screen).

  8. How do you make sure your spouse is not cheating on you? you should catch that cheating spouse..! In today’s open society and open minds, open relationship ignorance somehow has crept through the cracks as well, whether implicit or explicit . Now the question is why cheating spouses? I met a hacker who helped save me from the shackles of lies and deceit. I met this tech guru at 'hackingloop6@gmail .com, . He helped me hack into my husband's cell so i got to know of his extra marital affairs, Although i felt bad doing that but i knew my stand in his life.. if you feel you also having the same problem i faced and you feel your spouse is having an affair but keeps denying, you can also text or call the genius on WhatsApp + 1(484) 540-0785 , His services are affordable..
