{Previously Gifted} Since the start of 2021, I have decided to take better care of my skin, I have my skincare routine down for my face but for my body, I never make it as much of a priority until now. To find a routine that works for me I had to find a few key products that I know work for my skin and leave it feeling amazing. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you my recent body care obsessions!

Nivea Body Moisturising Mousse

For Christmas last year I was gifted a Nivea gift set from a family member and it was full of their amazing body care products, Since then I have been using all of the products but this one was a stand out product for me. Whenever I use a body moisturiser I want it to be something that I can apply quickly and easily, this product is rich and creamy but yet it still is fast absorbing and doesn't leave the skin feeling sticky or greasy. Before you use this product you need to shake it up and then once you apply it there's a moussey consistency, which is great because a little goes a very long way, you only need to apply one pump on each body area and it's more than enough product. Because you only need such a small amount of product each time one tube of this mousse would last ages without the need to repurchase. A special ingredient that this mousse has is Almond Oil which is a highly effective hydrating ingredient that leaves the skin feeling silky smooth.

Rituals The Ritual of Karma Spread The Kindness Body Cream

If I was to name you my favourite High-End Body Care brand I would definitely say it was Rituals. Their products are amazing and leave the skin looking and feeling hydrated and nourished. I have tried a few different products from Rituals but my favourite out of all of them is this body cream. On a daily basis, I would use a drugstore moisturiser like the Nivea Mousse but when I'm having a pamper sessions and want to treat myself I use this product. This luxurious body cream is enriched with holy lotus and white tea which helps to generously nourish the skin. This cream also applies to the skin like a dream with instant hydration and also soaks into the skin in seconds and doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy. I try to only use this product sparingly because it is pretty pricey and doing this makes it last just a little longer.

Upcircle Coffee & Citrus Face Scrub*

I know what your thinking, this is a body care post and I've added a skincare item but bare with me. I received this product in a recent Cohorted Box that I was gifted and was really excited to try it but I had just stopped using physical exfoliants on my face and moved to chemical exfoliants which I explain in my Problematic Skincare Routine. But instead of letting this product sit around without it being used, I decided to use it as a body scrub and I actually love it for that. This is a gentle scrub because it is formulated for the face but it works wonders for the skin at removing dead skin cells and leaving the skin feeling smooth. What I love about this product is that it is natural so there are no harsh chemicals or stripping ingredients. and this product is vegan and cruelty-free. This scrub contains coffee, sweet orange, rosehip and lemon essential oils which for my face could be a little strong but on my body it's perfect.

Dove Go Fresh Pomegranate Body Wash

With body washes, I'm never usually too fussy I pick up whatever's on sale at the time I need it and go from there but since trying this body wash it is now something I will always pick up on my shopping trips. This body wash is the perfect product for keeping the skin feeling hydrated while in the bath or shower, I have tried body washes before that have been slightly drying and leave the skin feeling tight but with this product, my skin looks and feels seriously smooth. The scent of this product is another reason why I love it, it smells amazingly sweet but it doesn't linger around which I also like. My skin can sometimes be sensitive on areas like my legs and arms but even when I use this product is doesn't flare anything up and my skin stays smooth and soft even before applying moisturiser.

Superdrug Restoring Skincare Oil

Body oils have never really been a favourite of mine, they leave the skin feeling greasy and sticky for ages after applying which I hate but this does the opposite. I like body oils to be light, easy to apply and fast-absorbing and that's exactly what this oil does. This oil does claim to also reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scars which is another reason why I wanted to try it, I haven't been using it long enough yet to see if these claims really work but if they do that's another big plus. When searching for this online while writing this post I couldn't actually find this oil anymore but Superdrug does have a restoring oil formulated for cellulite which I also really want to try.
