{Prevoiously Gifted} Valentines Day this year is going to be a little bit different than normal but that doesn't mean that we can't get dressed up and put a bit of makeup on and have some fun! Since lockdown, I have hardly worn any makeup so if there's a chance to get all dolled up I'm taking it. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you the look I created that perfect for Valentines Day!

Base

For the base for this look, I wanted to use products that I know won't fail me and that I know give me a gorgeous base to add more makeup on too. My favourite foundation to use whenever I need my makeup to look amazing is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, this foundation is definitely one of my holy grail products because it makes my skin look amazing and flawless even when I'm having crazy breakouts (like now!). Along with making my skin look lovely it also gives the perfect base for more makeup because it doesn't settle into any texture on my skin or dry patches even though its a matte foundation. I love the matte look but I hate my skin looking dry and this foundation gives a lovely velvety finish which is my favourite.

Because of the foundation that I used, I didn't need to wear a lot of concealer because the foundation gives a medium to full coverage so there isn't too much to conceal. The only area that needed a bit of concealer for this look was my under eyes because not much covers these dark circles! The concealer that gives me a brightening effect to my under eyes is the Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer, this product is thick enough to give me full coverage concealing of my under eyes but it also doesn't give off a cakey look and also doesn't settle into any lines which is a major plus.

To add a bit of colour to my face and give me a bit of depth I added a bit of bronzer and contouring. I am terrible at contouring but a product that helps me because it's so easy to use is the I Heart Revolution Chocolate Contour Palette. The bronzer shade in this palette is so easy to blend out into the skin and instantly gives me snatched cheeks. The only thing with this product you need to be aware of is it's very pigmented so you only need the smallest amount of product and then blend it out on the cheeks and forehead.

For blush, I had to go with the I Heart Revolution Heartbreakers blush because it is so pretty for one but two its shaped like a heart and perfect for valentines day! I love this blush because its basically two blushes in one, one shade being pinker and the other being more of a coral shade. For this look, I decided to mix the two shades together to give off a gorgeous corally pink shade with a flush of colour to the cheeks.

For highlighter, I should have actually mentioned earlier because I applied it after my foundation and before any powder products as I decided to go for a liquid highlighter. I am usually a powder girl but for this Valentine's look I wanted to go for a product that gives me extra glowy skin and I knew the product to do that would be the Bali Body Glow Stick Highlighter in Rose Gold. This product is really easy to apply, you just pop it on with the applicator and blend it out with either your finger, brush or sponge. When the product is blended out it gives the skin a gorgeous healthy glow that makes me look like I've just come back off holiday.

Eyes & Lips

The eyes and lips for this look are where I have a lot of fun and add a lot of pink! Starting off with my eye look I decided to use the Juvia's Place Berry Palette because it has the most gorgeous matte and shimmer pink shades. The look I created with this palette actually only took me a few minutes and it only contained 3 different shades. The first shade I used was light pink matte shade (2nd shade along) to add into the crease and I just blended to shadow up onto the brow bone. The next shade I used was the brightest pink shade in the palette (5th shade along), I used this shade to darken up my crease and outer corner. To add some shimmer to this look I used the pinky burgundy shimmer shade on the top row, this shade is duo-chrome so it looks slightly different in different lights and with different shades underneath. The last step for this look was to use the two matte shades mixed together and applied on my lower lash line.

To Finish up the eye look I decided to add a cat eye, to do this I used my favourite eyeliner which I knew would work perfectly and that is the Revolution Renaissance Liner, This liner is perfect because it has enough pigment to go over the eyeshadow and it lasts all day! To add some length and volume to the lashes I decided to use the Primark Beauty False Lash Queen Mascara, this product gives my lashes volume, length and curl and it didn't break the bank!

Because of the eye look that I decided to do I could have gone two ways with the lips, I could go bright and match the look or I could tone it down and do a nude. I decided to go bright because why not. For this Valentine's Day look I decided to go for the L'Oreal Infallible Lip Gloss in Mafia Gloss. The L'Oreal Infallible Gloss will always be one of my favourites because they aren't sticky at all and feel really comfortable on the lips. In the tube, this lip gloss looks really bright but once applied to the lips it tones down a bit and matches this look perfectly!
