Over the past couple of years, I have learnt a lot about how makeup is made and what goes into our products and it has made me more aware of cruelty-free and vegan makeup products. When I was researching for this post I found more brands that I even realised were cruelty-free which I thought was great and more and more brands each day are becoming cruelty-free! Today I'm going to be sharing with you my favourite cruelty-free brands!

Revolution

The first brand on this list obviously has to be Revolution. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that Revolution is one of my favourite drugstore brands. They have such a wide range of products and come out with new product releases all the time from their Disney Princess collection to their Friends collection. I have tried so many products from the brand and have probably loved all of them. Revolution are PETA-Certified and never test on animals and they also have Vegan options and at the moment are 76% vegan and growing. Revolution is probably one of the fastest-growing drugstore brands at the moment and I guarantee you will find a product that you love from the brand.

My favourite products:

Laura Geller

Laura Geller is a new brand to me, it's actually a brand that I discovered in Tk Maxx. Laura Geller is a high-end makeup brand from the US but when I was searching for this brand online I actually found that it is widely available online like on Simply Be and QVC. The products from Laura Geller are on the pricer side but they are definitely worth it and they have the most gorgeous makeup for the natural makeup lover. Laura Geller is 100% Cruelty-free, they do not test on animals and they do not sell in mainland China. This brand isn't 100% vegan but they do have some vegan products available!

My favourite products:

B. Cosmetics

B. Cosmetics is a brand made by Superdrug, it is a brand that I've had a little experience with and what I've used from the brand I have really loved. B. Makeup has professional products for an affordable price, they have a wide range of products and accessories all for under £10 and while I was writing this post a lot of the products in the range are on sale! B. Makeup has been certified cruelty free and all of their products and accessories are Vegan making it the perfect brand for people to give a go!

My favourite products:
  • Beauty Blender Makeup Sponge
  • Makeup Brush Cleanser

Real Techniques

Real Techniques is a brand that I am sure we all have heard of before, they are an amazing brand that has the best affordable makeup brushes and tools. I have been using real techniques since I was around 15 and I actually still have a makeup brush that has lasted years with it being washed regularly the brush looks brand new. Real Techniques is cruelty-free and vegan and PETA Certified meaning non of their products has any animal products. Real Techniques brush bristles are synthetic and made from Taklon bristles this also makes them so soft and apply makeup flawlessly.

My favourite products:

MUA

MUA is another one of my favourites brands from the drugstore, a lot of my everyday makeup comes from this brand and they are super affordable. I have been using this brand for years and have found some key products that I love and that I use on a daily basis. Another amazing thing about MUA is that they are PETA certified cruelty free and Vegan. All of their products are for under £10 which makes this brand super affordable to they are widely available at Superdrug. If you are looking for a brand that has great quality makeup for a really affordable price that is also fully cruelty-free and vegan then MUA is the brand you want!

My Favourite Products:
Lottie London is a smaller drugstore brand that I discovered a few years ago when I started building my makeup collection. Even though they are a smaller brand that has such a wide range of amazing products that cater to everyone. Lottie London is PETA Certified Cruelty-free, vegan and paraben-free and super affordable! The brand really has it all. If you look on their Instagram they feature the most gorgeous makeup looks with people using their makeup and the brand as a whole is just amazing.

My Favourite Products:
Barry M is definitely a cult favourite brand and they are probably the brand that I've been using the longest. I started wearing this brand when I was around 15 and crackle nail varnish was a thing (why?!) since then the brand has brought out some amazing new products and continues to be a staple drugstore brand. Barry M is 100% Cruelty-Free and all of their products are also Vegan. This brand has also been accredited for its Cosmetics Good Manufacturing Practices and has started to create fully recyclable eyeshadow palettes!

My Favourite Products:

The Ordinary

The Ordinary is a skincare brand that is probably one of my top affordable brands at the moment. Their products are not only affordable but also very effective with products that really improve your skin without all the fuss of fancy packaging. When I was researching which brands are in fact cruelty-free I was pleasantly surprised to see that The Ordinary is, I did get a few conflicting responses on whether the brand is Vegan or not so if are vegan maybe do a little bit of searching before using their products. No matter what your skin concern The Ordinary will most likely have a product for you.

My Favourite Products:
e.l.f is definitely a brand that we have all heard of before and I'm sure we have all tried at least one of their products. e.l.f is an American brand but it is widely available in the UK and can even be brought in drugstores like Superdrug. They are another super affordable brand that has gorgeous products ranging from makeup, skincare and makeup tools all for under £15! I love that with e.l.f there are so many options with different makeup products and they are always releasing new and exciting products. e.l.f is another brand that is both Cruelty-free and vegan making it a perfect all-rounder brand!

My Favourite Products:
Spectrum is another amazing makeup brush brand that I think sells the prettiest makeup brushes and tools. Spectrum was created by two sisters and was created from scratch in their garage and since then they have become a globally recognised brand that has now branched out to makeup as well. All Spectrums brushes are Vegan & Cruelty-free and they are also their packaging is kind to the environment and they are striving to continually improve product and packaging to be even kinder. Spectrum creates the most gorgeous brushes that perform amazing and still look super cute on your vanity.

My Favourite Products:
The Inkey List is a brand that I have been using myself for a few months now and it's a brand that I have been obsessed with ever since. The brand was only founded in 2018 and since then has done amazingly at delivering amazing quality products for a super affordable price. Another thing I love about The Inkey List is that on their website they have so much information about skincare and ingredients so your ability to make a decision on what products are best for your skin. The Inkey List is certified cruelty free and they do not sell in any countries that are permitted by law! If you are looking for a new brand to try, make sure it's The Inkey List.

My Favourite Products:

Eco Tools

Eco Tools says it all in the name, this brand is known for its eco-friendly approach to makeup tools and packaging. Eco Tools creates makeup tools and self-care products sustainably with their planet-friendly packaging and now that they have had a rebrand and a new look to their products they are also now using 88% less plastic in their packaging. I have been using eco tools for years, one of my first makeup brush sets was from the brand because not only are they good quality but they are also really affordable. Eco Tools are Vegan, Leaping Bunny certified, Biodegradable and use recycled materials, what more could you want!

My Favourite Products:
For ages, I was humming and hawing about whether to add Garnier to this list because for a while they weren't fully Cruelty-Free but recently Garnier has become fully Leaping Bunny Certified which is a great more for the brand! I have been obsessed with the brand ever since I was in my teens, I love their body care and hair care products along with their skincare products which I use in my everyday life. Along with becoming fully cruelty-free Garnier are also working to improve their packing and using more recyclable products. The only issue with Garnier is that are still owned by L'oreal who isn't certified Cruelty free so if you are someone who wants to be 100% cruelty free and vegan maybe skin this one.
