{Previously Gifted} Over the last couple of months I have been taking my Skincare really seriously and trying out all different products to see if they have any benefits for my skin. Recently I have added a new toner, mask and oil to my routine and have been using them for a few weeks now so I thought it would be the perfect time to give you all my first impression thoughts on these products!

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution

The Ordinary has been a new favourite brand for me, I have been obsessed with their Niacinamide serum for a while now and because I loved that product it made me want to try out something else from their brand and when I ran out of my usual toner I wanted to try something new. Before buying a new skincare product I am someone who researches everything and reads all of the reviews and this product had great reviews so I was sold straight away. I have been using this product for a few weeks now and so far so good, at first I actually started to use this wrong, I was using the toner morning and evening but when I actually sat and read the back of the bottle you're ideally only supposed to use this once a day. I have pretty strong skin, not much makes it feel sensitive but I did notice a slight stinging sensation when I was using it twice a day so if you have sensitive skin definitely only use it once a day and at night.

Since I've started to use this product the right way I have started to notice some benefits to my skin especially on my nose, I have some visible blackheads that I hate but when using this product I have noticed that the pores around my nose are becoming slightly smaller. I think if you have really sensitive skin this product might not be the right one for you but if you have oily and problematic skin this would be perfect for you! If you do like to use this product in the morning make sure you apply SPF before going out in the sun!

Alya Skin Australian Pink Clay Mask

This has been a mask that I have wanted to try out for the longest time! I have seen so many people using this product and loving it but I never got the chance to try it until now when I was kindly gifted it from Cohorted. Applying and wearing a mask is one of my favourite ways to relax and it also has benefits for the skin so what's better than that. This mask is supposed to detoxify and brighten the skin, defends against pollutants, dirt and toxins and fights acne and redness which is everything I want in a product. I have only used this product twice but so far I have been loving it, this mask is really easy to apply, I like to apply this mask with a brush after I've cleansed my skin and it applies evenly and smoothly to the skin.

When using this mask I like to keep it on for around 15 minutes until it's completely dry, when this mask is dried down it is hard to move your face but that's the time that I like to relax and let the mask do its job. When removing this mask it does take some time because it dried completely down, I like to use a warm cloth or flannel and then hold it on to my face and then softly wipe my skin without too much scrubbing. When the mask is removed my skin feels amazingly soft and smooth without feeling too tight or dry. On the Alya Skin website, the before and after results from using this mask have been amazing and I'm so excited to see how it benefits my skin.

Kiehls Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution

This product from Kiehls is a new product for me, I hadn't even heard about it until I got it in my latest Cohorted box but from the name of this product, it sounds like it would be perfect for me. When I was younger I used to pick at my skin whenever I would get a tiny spot I would pick away at it to make it 10 times worse and that has resulted in me having spot scars so if a product can help to reduce those pesky scars then I'm definitely going to try it. For this product, I only got a small sample size but I've been using a small amount of my scarring for around a week and there is still loads of product left.

For a product like this, you have to give it time for it to actually start working and to see any benefits on the skin, so far I haven't noticed too much difference in my scarring but I'm definitely going to keep going with it. When applying this product to the skin it soaks in really quickly and doesn't leave the skin feeling sticky or tacky. Key ingredients in this serum include Activated C that is a stabilised version of Vitamin C that reduces the appearance of uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation, White Birch extract which helps to restore hydration and nutrients and Salicylic Acid that helps to refine skin texture. This is definitely a product that I want to continue to use and see how it benefits my skin.

Emma Hardie Brilliance Facial Oil

I have always wanted to try a product from Emma Hardie and I was so excited to see this product in my Cohorted box. Facial oils tend to scare me because I have had oily skin my whole life and the thought of adding more oil on top wasn't something that I wanted to do but since changing up my routine and getting my skin back on track I think that its the perfect time to introduce oil into my routine. The one thing I was worried about before using this product was that I didn't want the oil to feel thick or too heavy on the skin but I've used this oil for just over a week now it has a lightweight feel to it that soaks into the skin in seconds. A small amount of the product goes a long way and it spreads beautifully over the skin.

I like to use this oil as the very last product in my evening skincare routine just before I go to bed so I wake up in the morning and my skin feels amazingly smooth and hydrated. This product can be used daily but because of my skin still being slightly oily I've only used it three times a week and I think that's a perfect amount for my skin. I have noticed that when I wake up in the morning when I've used this oil the night before I have a lovely healthy glow to my skin which I love. This oil really is an amazing product and I look forward to using it more!
