I don't think that I've ever been more excited to receive a package before than I was for this one from The Inkey List, If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that they are one of my favourite skincare brands! This month is dedicated to acne and having awareness of it and how it can be treated and with these products from The Inkey List you can do just that. Without further ado, this is what products I got from The Inkey List!

Salicylic Acid Cleanser

Out of all the products that I received I have only tried just two of them and one of them being the Salicylic acid cleanser. This cleanser is in my everyday skincare routine and I have been using it now for months. This cleanser is has a non-drying formula that lightly foams up that can also remove traces of dirt and makeup, this cleanser is also able to penetrate into the pores which help to reduce the appearance of blackheads and breakouts. This cleanser also has the added ingredient of Zinc which help to control oil and reduces blackheads and breakouts. Since using this product my skin has become a lot less oily and I can noticeable tell the difference in the appearance of the blackheads on my nose.

Key Ingredients:
  • 2% Salicylic Acid - helps to unclog pores and gently exfoliate the skin
  • Zinc compound helps to reduce excess oil
  • 0.5% Allantoin helps to soothe irritation

Succinic Acid Blemish Treatment

The Succinic Acid Blemish Treatment is the other product from The Inkey List that I've tried before and is now in my everyday skincare routine. I use this product whenever I feel a spot coming on and it magically helps to reduce it in a matter of hours, check out my full review on this product to see more of my thoughts on this blemish treatment. This treatment helps to clear blemishes fast, reduce inflammation, prevent clogged pores and it is a non-drying formula. I have used a lot of spot treatment products before in the past and none of them has been like this it's a cream formula that doesn't dry or flake off and can be used under makeup. This product is good for blemish-prone skin and helps to clear blemishes fast and effectively.

Key Ingredients:
  • 2% Succinic Acid reduces the sizes of blemishes and decreases oil levels
  • 2% Sulphur powder which reduces excess oil without drying the skin and helps to unclog pores
  • 1% Salicylic Acid helps to unclog pores and gently exfoliate whilst also calming the skin

Caffeine Eye Cream

I have been wanting to use an eye cream for the longest time, it's a skincare product that I have been wanting to get into my routine but I always tend to forget to apply it but hopefully, that will all change now with using this product. This eye cream is a hydrating and lightweight under eye cream that helps to reduce the appearance of dark circles, fine lines and puffiness. The caffeine in this eye cream is a diuretic which means that it can help to relieve water retention which causes puffiness to the eyes. This eye cream also has the added ingredient of Matrixyl 3000 peptide which helps to reduce fine lines and creates a smooth canvas for makeup.

Key Ingredients:
  • Caffeine helps to reduce puffiness
  • Matrixyl 3000 helps to boost collagen production
  • Albizia Julibrission Bark Extract helps to reduce the signs of under-eye fatigue

Tranexamic Acid Night Treatment

Reading the name of this product I had no idea what it was going to be but I've never really used a product specifically for the night time so this is another item that I was very looking forward to trying. This night treatment works as an overnight gel that targets hyperpigmentation, dark spots and uneven skin tone. This gel helps to brighten your skin's complexion and reduces dark spots (which I am desperately needing at the moment). This night treatment is used to replace your evening moisturiser but to prevent dehydration if you have dry skin it is recommended to use this product around 2-3 nights a week.

Key Ingredients:
  • 2% Tranexamic Acid that helps to reduce hyperpigmentation
  • 2% Acai berry extract helps to promote even skin tone
  • 2% Vitamin C helps to brighten skin tone

Multi-Biotic

This product is one of The Inkey Lists moisturisers, the packaging can be deceiving because I had no idea what this product was from just looking at the name. A moisturiser would be the last step in my skincare routine and I was interested to find out how this Multi-Biotic would improve acne-prone skin. This product combines probiotic, along with its nutrients and by-products to help balance and promote healthy skin. This product has a lightweight formula that maintains the skins PH balance and protects it against pollutants. When the skin has an unbalanced PH it can cause premature ageing, excess oil and irritation, having a balanced PH can improve blemish-prone skin, sensitive and dry skin.

Key Ingredients:
  • 5% Yogurtene that helps to balance out bacteria in the skin which helps with breakouts
  • 2% Brightenyl that helps to promote uneven skin tone
  • 2% Squalane that protects and hydrates the skin

Hyaluronic Acid

Moving on to serums, before I started learning about skincare I would avoid products that were too moisturising because I thought it would make my skin more oily but with a bit of research, I realised it's actually better for my skin. This serum is a powerful moisturizing product that works with the added ingredient of hyaluronic acid which holds 1000x its own weight in water. This serum helps to hydrate the skin and making it look plump and smooth while also helping to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Key Ingredients:
  • 2% Hyaluronic Acid hydrates the skin
  • Matrixyl 3000

Niacinamide

Niacinamide is an ingredient that I've become very familiar with recently and I've added it into my skincare routine and it has definitely helped improve my breakout and oiliness but I haven't had the chance to try The Inkey List serum yet until now. This serum is lightweight and contains 10% Niacinamide. This serum helps to effectively reduce excess oil, redness and blemishes. If you have oily skin I would definitely recommend trying Niacinamide for your skin, it works wonders!

Key Ingredients:
  • 10% Niacinamide helps to control excess oil, blemishes and redness
  • 1% Hyaluronic Acid that helps to hydrate the skin
