{Previously Gifted} Having the opportunity to try out new brands was one of the main reasons why I started my blog. I love being able to try, test and play with different brands and find new products that end up being a part of my everyday routine. When I saw that I was gifted a few products in my Cohorted Box from Alya Skin I knew I wanted to try them out right away because I've heard of so many great things about the brand. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you my first impression of a few products from Alya Skin.

Alya Skin has been a brand that I've wanted to try for the longest time but I never go around to doing it until now! the main product that I wanted to try from the range was their Australian Pink Clay Mask which I have seen all over Instagram, I have also read some rave reviews on the product and that made me want to try out more products from their brand even more.

Alya Skin is an Australian skincare brand that wants to boost our confidence with problem-free completion and their mission is to change the game for our skin (Alya means beauty how lovely is that). They are realistic about what skin really needs and create products that deliver real results. From Cohorted I received the Australian Pink Clay Mask, Pomegranate Exfoliating Facial Scrub and the Australian Native Berries Moisturizer. Another reason I was really excited to try this brand is that all of their products are cruelty-free and vegan another brand to add to my cruelty-free list!

Packaging

The packaging of the whole range from Alya Skin is my favourite because it's Pink! If you have seen a theme on my blog you will notice that I like pink a lot and this brand has the cutest packaging for a skincare brand. Apart from the pink, the packaging of each product is pretty simple which I love, it's cute but still simple and it's very distinctive, once you see the pink packaging of this brand you know it's Alya Skin straight away. All of the products from the brand have been made in Australia and you can see that on the packaging along with the directions on how to use each product, I like that added touch a lot. This is a brand that I would happily display their products on my vanity!

Product Amount & Price

Australian Pink Clay Mask: For a face mask I think you get a really reasonable amount of product at 120g, I have used this mask multiple times and I've still only just used the first layer of product. This brand is more mid-range, they arent high street prices and they also arent high-end prices they fit bang in the middle. This mask is £29.95 which is more than I'd usually spend on a face mask but I love the product and you get a good amount so I think it's a reasonable price. This mask will also last you ages because you don't need much for it to cover your face.

Exfoliator & Moisturiser: Both of these products actually have the same amount of product at 80g each which I think is amazing especially for the moisturiser as my usual product from La Roche Posay is only 40ml. 80g is a lot of products especially for the price at only £17.50 each which I think is really reasonably priced. The moisturiser you would have to repurchase more often than the exfoliator because you would use it on a daily basis but I think for 80g it is worth it!

First Impression

Australian Pink Clay Mask: Since receiving this product I have used it a number of times. This mask does exactly what I want a face mask to do for my skin. When you apply this mask it goes on like a cream and then it gradually dries down over the next 20 minutes, it does dry down so you can't really move your face but I like that effect that it gives. When you are ready to remove this mask is does take a couple of minutes to get it all off because it's dried down but once the mask is removed your skin feels amazingly soft. I have used this mask around 3 times now and try to do it around once a week and I've already noticed that my pores are looking a lot better as it helps to detoxify the skin and deep cleansing the skin. You can use this product every other day but I like to use it around once a week and this has helped my skin feel a lot smoother and look a lot brighter.

Pomegranate Exfoliating Facial Scrub: For the last 6 months I haven't actually used a facial scrub because I swapped to a liquid exfoliator but every once in a while my skin definitely needs a bit of a physical scrub. I am very particular about my facial scrubs because I do not like anything too rough on my skin and this exfoliator is the opposite of that. The granules in this scrub are just right, they remove the dead skin around my nose and chin easily without needed to scrub too hard on my skin and left it feeling a lot smoother. I haven't used this scrub enough yet to know if it will benefit my problematic skin but looking at the before and after pictures on their website, I am excited to keep using this scrub and seeing how it benefits my skin!

Australian Native Berries Moisturizer: I am very particular when it comes to moisturisers as well, I have been using the moisturizer I use now for a few years so I know what I like. To try out this product I used it for around a week as my morning moisturizer to truly test it out. There were a few things I really like about this product, one being that it made my skin feel super hydrated and smooth. Another thing I like about this product is it has quite a thick consistency so you only need a small amount and it spreads over my whole face and neck. I have also noticed when using this product that my skin seems to look a lot brighter and fresher. The only issue that I have with this moisturiser is that I'm so attached to my La Roche Posay moisturizer because of how well it helped my problematic skin, I still want to continue using this product but I might only use it on days when my skin is feeling really dry and lacklustre!
