{Previously Gifted} We are officially living in very different times with all that's going on in the world and that has caused us to wash our hands so much more than usual and that has caused my hands to become a lot drier and sensitive and I've needed to try more Hand Creams. Over the last year, have tried so many different hand creams to find some that truly work and help to keep my hands smooth and hydrated. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you my Top 5 Hand Creams for Dry Skin!

Nivea Intensive Hand Cream

Starting off with one of my favourite affordable hand creams on this list is this hand cream from Nivea. I have used this hand cream for years and it is a product that I know really works. This hand cream is formulated with almond oil that is super hydrating and nourishing and it makes my hands feel amazingly smooth. When the pandemic first started I was religiously washing my hands like a madwoman and my hands were really suffering and this was the first-hand cream that actually started to make a little difference to my skin. Another reason why I really like this hand cream is that you don't need too much, a little goes a really long way and it spreads nicely over the skin and coats the skin without leaving it too oily and greasy. If you are on the lookout for a new affordable hand cream definitely give this one from Nivea a try!

Key Features:
  • Intense nourishment for 24 hours
  • Almond Oil to hydrate
  • Unique Nivea scent

Soap & Glory Hand Food Sugar Crush

This hand cream is the product that I've had for the longest in my collection, Hand Food is one of my all-time favourite hand creams and it's a product I always like to have on hand and I even like to keep a small tube of it in my bag. Hand Food is such a cult favourite product from Soap & Glory and it's a product I've used for years but I changed to use the Sugar Crush version because it has such a gorgeous citrus scent to it which I love. This hand cream is a favourite of mine because it effectively nourishes my hands but doesn't make them too greasy because it soaks into the skin quickly and leaves my hands feeling really smooth. This cream has added ingredients of shea butter which moisturises the skin and provides relief to itchy and dry skin making this cream perfect if you have any irritation from over-washing your hands.

Key Features:
  • Non-greasy and non-sticky formula
  • Contains Shea Butter, Macadamia Oil and Marshmallow
  • Signature Sugar Crush scent

L'Occutaine Almond Delicious Hands

Now moving on to the more expensive options and one of my favourites in the higher end price bracket is this hand cream from L'Occutaine. This is a pretty pricey product but I definitely think it's worth the extra pennies. This hand cream is made up of 94% natural ingredients and enriched with almond milk and oil to hydrate the skin in a silky smooth cream formula. One of the main reasons why I really love this hand cream is the scent, it has a gorgeous sweet almond scent that really smells good enough to eat. This hand cream has a lovely rich formula that is also really light so it isn't too thick and doesn't take long to soak into the skin. I have used this cream on days when my hands have been so dry that they actually started to hurt and this cream helped so much and made them feel so comfortable.

Key Features:
  • 94% Natural Ingredients
  • Contains Almond milk and oil
  • Subtle sweet almond scent

This Works Stress Check Kind Hands*

This hand cream is probably everything I want a hand cream to do and it's purposely formulated for overwashed hands which is a big plus! This hand cream from This Works is one of the newer hand creams in my collection and it's a cream that definitely didn't disappoint. This cream is intensely moisturising and it contains Vitamin E that nourishes the skin and Shea Butter that relieves dry and sensitive hands. Out of all the other hand creams, I think this cream has my favourite scent, it has a mix of Lavender and Ylang-ylang which is so calming and smells amazing. I like to use this cream straight after washing my hands and they are feeling dry and on days when my hands become so dry they are sore this is the cream that helps to relieve that and make them feel amazingly smooth.

Key Features:
  • 98% Natural
  • Cruelty-Free and vegan
  • Contains Lavender, Ylang-ylang, Vitamin E and Shea Butter

The Organic Pharmacy Hand Cream*

This hand cream is another new addition to my hand cream collection, it was a product that I was gifted in a Cohorted Box and I love it because it's the perfect size to chuck in my bag and pop on throughout the day when needed. This hand cream helps to nourish and hydrate the hands and cuticles with ingredients like shea butter, Aloe, and Calendula to soothe the skin and keep it looking and feeling amazingly soft. This cream is the perfect product to have in your bag and to use throughout the day or when you are on the run and your hands need s little pampering. Whenever I use this cream it leaves my hands and my cuticles (a big plus for me) super smooth and hydrated and I'll definitely keep one of these creams with me at all times!

  3. I have super sensitive skin and haven't tried any of these so I'll have a look into them. Unfortunately I'm allergic to almonds & argan oil so a few of these I can't try - very annoying because the Nivea one sounded great x

  8. The only one I've tried is the L'Occitane one which feels amazing but I'm not a huge fan of almond fragrance, unfortunately! My go tos are Crabtree & Evelyn's Gardeners Therapy hand cream or The White Company Wild Sage hand cream :) x
