[Previously Gifted] My usual skincare routine consists of around 10 steps altogether and most of the time I enjoy taking off all my makeup and making my skin feel all nice and clean and fresh ready for bed but sometimes I feel lazy and I just want my routine to be quick and simple and still make my skin feel amazing afterwards. Through trial and error, I have found the best products that clean my skin effectively but also quickly. If you're lazy sometimes like me, keep reading to find out my lazy skincare routine!

Micellar Water

In my normal routine, my cleansing process is usually three separate steps, eye makeup remover, cleansing balm and then my 2nd cleanse. In my lazy routine, I like to get rid of two products and just use micellar water to remove my eye makeup and use it as my first cleanse to get rid of all of my makeup. For micellar water, I like to use either my Garnier Micellar Water for Sensitive Skin or the Nivea Naturally Good Micellar, I like these two products because they effectively remove my makeup quickly but they are also gentle enough to use on my eyes, I have pretty sensitive eyes and a lot of eye makeup removes and micellar waters can irritate my eyes but these products don't! To cleanse my whole face I add some micellar water onto a cotton pad and first remove all of my eye makeup and then do a base cleanse of my face to remove most of the makeup on my skin. Doing this is a perfect first cleanse before I move on to my second cleanse just to make sure my skin is 100% clean. This step probably takes me around 2 minutes which is perfect for when I'm feeling lazy!

2nd Cleanse

I know what you are thinking why would you do two cleanses in a lazy routine, I do it because I use my micellar water as more of a makeup remover and then I still need a product to cleanse my skin and remove all the lasting traces of makeup and dirt off my skin. I also like to do a second cleanse because this is the product that will help to keep my bad skin at bay. The cleanser that I'm using at the moment is The Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser, this product has helped my skin so much since using it by reducing the amount of oil my skin produces and helping the appearance of my pores which then stops me from getting spots. This cleanser has a non-drying formula that lightly foams which removes all traces of makeup but also penetrates deep into the pores which then helps to reduce blackheads and breakouts. Even in a lazy routine you still need to do two effective cleanses to makeup sure you have nothing left on your skin so you're ready for more skincare products!

Tone

This step may not be for everybody and even I sometimes skip this step, it depends on what condition my skin is in on the day of doing my lazy routine. This step doesn't take long at all so I usually add it in just to give my skin a bit more help from the products. The toner I have been using for a while now is The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution this toner has had some amazing benefits for my skin. For the last year, I haven't used any physical exfoliants on my skin but I now use liquid exfoliants and that is why I use this product. This toner gently exfoliates the skin and removes dead skin cell build-up that can contribute to dullness, texture issues and congestion. My skin has been a lot clearer since using this product and I love it because it's a lot easier and quicker to use than physical exfoliants. If you have sensitive skin use this toner with caution as it may cause irritation, slowly introduce this toner into your routine by only using it a night a few times a week!

Moisturise

The last step of my lazy skincare routine is to moisturise. In my normal routine I would use a serum and a treatment on my skin before applying moisturiser but to save time and to get my routine done quicker I go straight in with my moisturiser. The moisturiser that I've been using at the moment is The Inkey List Omega Water Cream, this cream is a lightweight water-based gel moisturiser that promises to optimize the skin's hydration levels without leaving any trace of stickiness or oiliness. This moisturizer makes my skin feel super soft and hydrated straight after using it and it soaks into the skin so quickly and the claim that it doesn't leave any stickiness on the skin is very true. I have combination skin and I love this cream but I also think people with dry skin would love this cream and would really benefit from it.

I usually try to only do this routine a few times a week because I still like to add all my other lotions and potions but sometimes when you finish work a bit late or you're just lazy (like me) this routine is still effective at making sure your skin is clean and fresh ready to bed! 3. What a fab routine! I had a phase of skipping toner, as I didn't think it was that important, but I really noticed a difference in my skin, so I always include it now. The Ordinary one sounds lovely xx

  4. Wonderful post! I’m running low on my micellar water and I’d love to give the Nivea one a try. My eyes are pretty sensitive as well and I’m glad to hear it's very gentle! I also LOVE The Ordinary Glycolic Acid! I haven’t heard of the Inkey but it sounds like a great lightweight moisturizer! Thank you for sharing!
