Tinted lip balms are a must in my makeup collection and I always like to have one on hand at all times. Along with adding some colour to the lips they work well at hydrating and nourishing the skin, another reason why I love tinted lip balms is that not only do they look good but they are also very comfortable to wear on the lips and leave them looking smooth and feeling hydrated. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you my Top 5 Tinted Lip Balms!

Blistex Lip Brilliance

The first thing I love about tinted lip balms is that you don't need to spend a lot of money to get a good product and that is true with this lip balm from Blistex as you can find it in Savers for only £1.49! This lip balm is a little different from the others on this list because it does have some glitter but it doesn't look too much when you're wearing it, it actually blends into the lips nicely. This lip balm gives a light flush of colour to the lips where you can still see your natural lip colour but this makes it look like your lips but better. The ingredients in this lip balm for example Vitamin E and Grape Seed Oil help to hydrate the lips and keep them feeling smooth all day. An added bonus for this lip balm is that it also has SPF protection with an SPF 15 which is great to use while we still have some sun. I mainly wear this lip balm during the day because of its soft pink shade that it has on the lips that look natural and leaves my lips looking smooth and soft.

Nivea Watermellon Shine

Another lip balm that is super affordable but still of amazing quality is this one from Nivea. This is one of the lip balms that I have purchased multiple times because of how much I love it. One of the main things that I love about this lip balm is the scent it has, it smells exactly like watermelon it actually makes you want to eat it! Another reason why I love this lip balm is how amazing it makes my lips feel while wearing it, it smooths my lips instantly and leaves them looking and feeling hydrated all day. The colour of this lip balm is a bright pink but once you apply it to the lips it gives off a light flush of colour so it's perfect for everyday use and if you're not a big fan of wearing bright colours on the lips. This lip balm also has a gorgeous shine to it so it looks like you're wearing a lip gloss rather than a lip balm which I like. I have also used this product on top of other lip products before to add extra shine without the stickiness of a lip gloss.

Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm

This lip balm is different to all the others on this list because the consistency is more like a lipstick than a balm. This balm has the same pigmentation that lipstick would have which I love because I can use this product if I'm going out because I get the look of a lipstick but the feel of a balm. This lip balm is infused with shea butter which helps to nourish and hydrate the lips all day, even without needing to reapply. When I wear this balm I can feel a noticeable difference in my lips because they feel a lot smoother and even after hours of wearing my lips still feel hydrated. I usually wear this balm whenever my lips feel extra dry but I still want to wear a product that doesn't accentuate the dry areas on my lips then this is the product I go for as it adds pigment but is also really comfortable to wear.

Dr PawPaw Tinted Peach Pink Lip Balm

Dr PawPaw is a brand that I had heard so much about before trying it and it definitely lives up to the hype. This balm is also a little different to the others because it feels more like an oil or gloss on the lips which I like because it makes it very comfortable to wear. One of the main things that I love about this balm is that is a multi-use product, it is a lip balm but can also be used on the cheeks as a blush, I have tried this when I'm doing a no-makeup makeup look and it gives off a glowy flush of colour to the skin which I love. I've also discovered that you can wear this balm on the eyelids, you can do the glossy lid trend with the product which is another big plus! This balm contains Papaya fruit which has anti-inflammatory properties, Aloe Vera which soothes and moisturises the skin and Olive Oil which hydrates the skin. When I wear this product my lips feel amazingly smooth and I love the light colour that is applied to the lips which are perfect for wearing it every day.

Dr Lipp Superfood Sweet Potato Tint

This is another product that is more of a recent discovery for me, I found this lip balm in Tk Maxx and loved the shade so I had to pick it up and try it. During the summer months, my lips get really dry so I always need products that add the most moisture to my lips and this is one of the most nourishing lip balms on this list. Similar to the Dr PawPaw balm this one applies to the lips like a gloss but it isn't sticky at all which I love, this balm is also a multi-use product and can be used on the lips, cheeks and eyelids. The colour of this lip balm isn't as pigmented as some of the others on this list but I love wearing this when I'm at work all day as the aircon makes my lips really dry but this helps to keep them feeling nourished all day. I also like to use this balm as a gloss topper, if I'm wearing a lipstick that is a little drying and needs a bit more shine I add this product on top and it gives off a gorgeous shine and also makes the lipstick more comfortable to wear.

  1. I'm generally not a big tinted lip balm person because I always tend to lean towards lipsticks but you've inspired me to break out my pixi lip balm again to shake things up a bit.

  4. I haven't tried any of these lip balms before, but lately I have been wearing balms and glosses instead of actual lipsticks. I have tried a few makeup items from Pixi, so I do want to try their lip balm as well the Dr PawPaw balm because I've heard good things about them too!
