I have always had blemished skin, it has got better over the years but I still get bad skin every now and again. Since I was a teenager I have been on the lookout for products that actually help my skin to improve, I have used every product under the sun that says that it helps with breakouts and 9 times out of 10 they don’t! In todays post I’ll be sharing with you Face Masks that I know work to help prevent and reduce breakouts.

Revolution Blemish Recovery Mask

This is one of the newer face masks that I have in my collection and it is the most affordable one being only £8 (now on sale for £4!) I got this mask because I wanted to try something a little different than what I usually use. Whenever my skin is bad and I’m wanting to use a face mask I always use a clay mask because it helps to draw out impurities but sometimes I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to spend ages applying and then removing the product and that why I went for this mask. This mask has a gel consistency so it doesn’t dry down on the skin, you can also use this mask in two ways, you can apply a thick layer wear it for 10 minutes and wash off or you can apply a thin layer at the end of your routine and wear it as an overnight mask which is my favourite way. I usually decided to use this mask when my blemishes are starting to go away and my skin and it feels dry and dehydrated, I wear a thin layer sleep in it and wake up and my breakouts are noticeably reduced and my skin feels smooth and hydrated. If you are on the lookout for a mask that's easy to apply and super easy to remove then this is the product for you!

Key Ingredients:
  • Pro vitamin B5 - Helps to soothe and soften the skin
  • Sodium Hyaluronate  - Keeps the skin moisturised and soothes from dryness

Alya Skin Australian Pink Clay Mask*

I have had this mask in my collection for over a year now and I've used it a lot and I still haven't touched the surface of the product, a little of this mask goes a long way. Whenever im having active breakouts I always tend to choose this mask, it helps to dry out the breakout without overdrying my skin at the same time. Whenever I use this mask it helps to detoxify my skin because if I have any underlying spots it helps to draw them out and get rid of them before they turn into big painful spots (we all know which ones they are) and once my breakout has calmed down it also helps my skin to appear brighter and clearer. I also like to use this mask in between breakouts because it also helps to prevent new ones from appearing, I like to use his mask once every two weeks for the best results!

Key Ingredients:
  • Kaolin - Absorbs excess oil in the skin preventing acne
  • Aloe Vera - A natural moisturiser that helps to sooth dry skin
  • Vitamin E - Stops the skin form losing moisture

BB Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask*

This is a brand new product to me that I've been using since I was sent it back in November. Anything that claims to detoxify the skin I am always excited to use because they usually help to clear out my skin and that is exactly what this mask did for me. This mask helps to deeply cleanse the skin to remove any impurities and pollutants from the skin. Since using this mask I have noticed that my pores have become slightly tighter and less visible which is amazing for me as my pores are one of my main problem areas on my skin. This is a clay mask so I don't always apply it all over my skin, I use this to multi-mask, this product is applied on the oilier and more problematic areas of my face to help to draw out all of the impurities. When I wash off this mask my skin feels smooth and hydrated without it feeling tight or dry!

Key Ingredients:
  • French Green Clay - Natural exfoliant that helps to remove dead skin cells
  • Willow Bark Extract - Anti-inflammatory and antibacterial
  • Golden Jojoba Oil - Moisturises the skin and prevents dry patches
