I know I am very late to the game but since I've got my summer holiday coming up I thought it would be the best time to try out a new SPF. I have heard so many amazing things about this SPF and now that we are finally getting some sun I knew I had to try it! In today's post, I'll be sharing with you my thoughts on the Bondi Sands Face SPF!

Trying to find a that suits my skin SPF has been hard. Back in 2021, I tried Gruum SPF 50 for a while and really liked it but every time I've tried to repurchase it's been out of stock so I thought it was time to look for a new one! I am quite picky when it comes to SPF because I do not like anything with a white cast or something that makes my skin look or feel oily. I did a lot of research and one of the SPFs that kept popping up is the Bondi Sands Face SPF50+, I have read so many reviews about this product and it sounded like something that I had to try.

There are a lot of things that I want my SPFs to do, they need to be fragrance-free (there's nothing I hate more than the strong smell of suncream), it has to have no white cast and it shouldn't make my skin feel like an oily mess. Reading reviews on this product before trying it this SPF reaches all of my requirements. Even though we should all be wearing SPF constantly even when it's grey and cloudy out when it comes to the sunnier months we tend to think about SPF more and now that my summer holiday is fastly approaching it was the perfect time to try out a new SPF.

The first thing I wanted to test out before I started using this SPF on my face was if it has a white cast to it. There are pictures of me as a child on holiday when sun cream on my face and I look like a ghost and that is not the look that I'm going for! Being darker skin it is harder to find SPF that doesn't make me look grey so it was a very important requirement for me. I tried this SPF on my had and at first, the product look quite thick and white but seconds into blending it out the colour was gone and it was completely clear which was amazing it also left my skin looking slightly glowy which I really liked, seeing for myself that this product doesn't leave any white cast on the skin made me want to try it on my face right away.

The second thing that I wanted to check out was how the product smelled, it claimed to be fragrance-free but I needed to know if it was true because I really cannot stand the smell of suncream. I would say that this product doesn't smell like anything, it kind of has a very light fresh scent to it which I actually find pleasant and once you've applied it the smell goes away almost instantly.

Since getting this product I have used it a few times and I have to say it is a new obsession of mine. The first thing I noticed is you don't need too much of this product because it spreads really well over the skin, you don't want too much because it can make you look a little greasy but if you apply the right amount it gives off a gorgeous glow on the skin. I thought I wasn't going to like that because my skin can be oily but I really like the luminosity that it gave my skin.

Another thing that I wanted to test out while using this SPF was how it made my skin look and feel throughout the day. I was worried this product could make me look oily after wearing it for a few hours but I still had a nice subtle glow. I did notice that my skin did feel slightly sticky at the end of the day but that didn't bother me at all and I think it actually helped my makeup to stay on better throughout the day.

Overall I am really impressed with this SPF, everything that I wanted a suncream to do for me it did, it has high protection, protects from UV rays, is fragrance-free and has no white cast! What more could you want! Have you tried this SPF before?

  2. I agree I don't like SPF that causes a white cast on my skin or too oily. I am glad that you found a SPF that works better.

  3. I use this SPF in my morning skincare routine every day and I absolutely love it! Like you, I don't like SPF's that leave a white film/cast over my skin. This Bondi Sands one is the best I've used! x
