Whats In My September Birchbox!

18 September 2019

I'm back this month with another Birchbox and this month its theme for September is Sweet Simplicity. Its nearly Autumn and this box reminds me of summer and I'm trying to hold on top summer for as long as possible! So stay tuned to find out what I got in this months Birchbox!

Benefit Posietint

This product is definitely a classic Benefit product that I'm sure everyone has heard of before. In the past, I have actually tried the Benetint which is a deeper pink colour but the Posietint is a really pretty lighter pinky coral shade. This product is a multi-use, it can be used on the lips and cheeks and it acts as a really pretty flush of colour which can either be applied on bare skin or on top of foundation.  When you first apply the product it looks more like a gloss but then it actually dries down pretty quickly and leaves the skin with a lovely natural blush look. I have used this product a few different times since getting it in this months box and I have really been loving using this product when I was to have a really pretty natural look, that lasts on the skin all day. I have been applying this product mainly with my fingers to buff out the colour but you can also apply it with a brush or a beauty blender for a flawless finish.

Caudalie Vinopure Purifying Gel Cleanser

I've always wanted to try out a Caudalie product before but they are slightly out of my price range. I have heard so many good things about their products in the past and now I finally have the chance to try it out for myself. This product is a purifying gel cleanser that foams on the skin and helps to banish blemishes, unclog pores and balances the skin without taking the complexion feeling tight, dry or irritated which I think sounds like the best cleanser that was made just for me. I tried out this cleanser and have been using it with my PMD Clean (you can read the full review here). This cleanser lathers up really well on the skin and I can feel my skin feeling cleaner and more refreshed. I have noticed that when I use this cleanser at night and I get up in the morning my skin doesn't look so oily and my pores aren't as noticeable which is a major plus for me. I will definitely be continuing to use this cleanser to see how it would further improve my skin.

VQ Rose Gommage

Reading only the name of this product I didn't have a clue what it was but reading further into it its a gentle Botanical Cellulose exfoliator which I had to read a bit more about to actually know what it does. This product is a quick fix gentle exfoliator which uses botanical extracts to peel away dirt and dead skin cells to leave healthy-looking skin. When I first used this product I was surprised because at first, I couldn't really feel any grittiness to it but the more you work it into their skin you start to see the residue lifting and you can feel the product working. The first thing I like about this product is that it has such a lovely fresh scent and when I removed the product I could feel my skin feeling more refreshed and it actually made my skin look a little bit more radiant. I have only used this product a few times since getting it in this months box and I'm looking forward to trying it out some more as its such an interesting product.

Number 4 Luminere d'Hiver Super Comb Prep & Protect

In a few of my Birchboxes, I have tried a few hair care products from the Number 4 range like the Soothing balm which I got way back to last year in my June Birchbox. This is another multi-use product which works as a detangler, strengthens, repairs and tames flyaways which to be honest I need all of these things and to have it in one product is perfect for me. All you have to do with this product is to spray it onto damp hair before you start to blow dry it. I've only used this product once and I'm not too sure how I feel about it just yet. When I used this I didn't actually expect miracles from it but I didn't actually notice anything too spectacular either. I think this product would work really well on people with finer hair but for my really thick and frizzy hair, I didn't notice too much of a difference after I dried my hair. I think I'll be giving this product another go to really see how it works.

Baija Body Cream in Rose Lychee

Body cream has and will always be a favourite product of mine, I use it daily and I'm always on the lookout for new creams to try out and experiment with. This cream is from a brand that I haven't heard of before which is one of the things I love most about Birchbox. This cream is described as a delicate and oh-so-smooth (sounds perfect right?). The scent is actually Rose and Lychee which smells amazingly sweet and it's supposed to leave the skin feeling much softer. I have actually been using this cream quite a lot since I got it and have actually been loving it. It has left my skin feeling extra smooth and soft and it leaves the loveliest scent on the skin but it doesn't linger all day.

  4. It seems like you got a really great mix of products this month! Love your photos too. I've never tried Posietint but I tried Benetint years ago. The shade wasn't right for me but I love the idea of them as a product and the formula. Posietint looks like such a nice & flattering shade, I need to try that one x

  10. Ok so I definitely wanna check out the Caudalie gel cleanser because those type of cleansers are so soothing on my skin, it would be nice to add to my collection👏🏾 I too like body butters, such a great way to eliminate dryness and my skin enjoys anything with rose so the Baija cream had my name all over it. Since you said the scent doesn't linger, I'll check to see if they have a body spray for a layering effect.
