A new year means a brand new year of Birchbox. I first subscribed to Birchbox all the way back in 2018 and have been loving getting a new box every month and testing out new products and also discovering new brands. This month Rochelle Humes collaborated with Birchbox with the message behind the box being to celebrating peoples individuality. In today's post, I'll be sharing with you what I got in my first Birchbox of 2020!

The Beauty Crop Glow Milk in Just Dew It

The packaging of this product is what attracted me straight away. The outside packaging of the highlighter is in the shape of a milk carton which I thought was really cute. I used to not be really into liquid highlighters but recently my love for it has grown so this was a great product to receive this month. The shade of this highlighter is perfect, its a really pretty light pink shade which has a gorgeous glittery shimmer to it. This highlighter is enriched with coconut oil and argan oils which gives it a hydrating formula to leave the skin looking dewy and glowy. I have tried this product a few times and have discovered that a little really goes a long way and you only need 3 drops of this highlighter to your cheekbones, cupids bow and brow bones. I like to blend out this product just using my finger and it seems to work really well at blending the product onto my skin without removing any of my foundation which is a big plus.

Greenfog Botanic Argan Oil Body Lotion

I always gt really excited when I receive a new body lotion because I'm still trying to find the perfect products to add to my Body care routine that I'm trying to put together which was one of my Beauty Resolutions for the year. This cream is a hydrating body lotion that blends sweet-smelling argan oil and moisture-boosting glycerin. I liked this cream a lot because for one it contains 85% natural ingredients which gives it a gentle formula which softens and hydrates the skin. When I was trying this lotion for the first time I discovered that the cream soaks into the skin really quickly and doesn't leave the skin feeling sticky and another major plus for this lotion is that the whole bottle is fully recyclable!

Vasanti BrightenUp Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator

One of the reasons that I still subscribe to Birchbox is because I love to try out new and interesting skincare products. This product is a deep cleansing exfoliator that contains a cocktail of papaya enzymes, aloe vera and micro-crystals. This helps to gently sloughs away dirt, even skin tones and reduced fine times in one glow-boosting step. Forgetting to exfoliate is something I do a lot in my skincare routine but since receiving this exfoliator I have been using it around once a week and have really been enjoying this product. It helps to keep my skin smooth and soft and it helps to buff away any of my dead skin which I do have quite a bit of around my nose area and it has improved quite a bit. This is a product that Im really looking forward to using it more and seeing how it further improves my skin.

Melusine Jade Roller

This product is the item that I was most excited about. Recently everyone has been using Jade rollers and I have been super jealous because I didn't have one until now. When I first heard about people using jade rollers I was a little dubious about it because I wasn't too sure if it would just be a gimmick but since trying it I have realised that it really does work. The jade roller is the perfect added gadget to put in our skincare routines because it helps to boost radiance, tighten pores, improves elasticity and fine lines. I have been using mine a lot in the morning before I apply my foundation because I feel like it helps to depuff and destress my skin. The colder the roller is the more benefits it's going to give your skin so I've actually been leaving mine in the fridge to make it extra cold. Another way you can use this roller is over a sheet mask, this will help get all the skin-loving ingredients into the deeper layers of the skin.

Philip Kinsley Moisture Boosting Conditioner

On my hair, I do use quite a bit of heat so making sure that my hair has got enough moisture is a must. Conditioner is also a must for my hair to keep it looking sleek and shiny. Since getting this box I've only used the conditioner twice and I already know im going to be using it more. After the first wash, I could feel that my hair way a lot softer and smooth and I could tell that my hair was also quite a bit shinier. I have tried a few different products from Philip Kinsley and have been impressed with them all and my hair seems to just work really well with my hair. I look forward to using it a few more times and see the results in my hair.
