4 Products To Help You Sleep Better

{Previously Gifted} Sleeping is very important for all of us, it gives our bodies the time to rest and also its the perfect time to help out skin rejuvenate overnight. If you are like me and you sometimes struggle to sleep, waking up during the night or have trouble falling asleep then hopefully the products that I recommend to you today help you! In today's post, I'll be sharing with you 4 of the products I use to help me sleep.

Why do we need sleep?

Our bodies need to sleep because it gives the chance for the body to fully restore and rejuvenate and helps our brains to recover. During sleep, the body releases human growth hormone a very important ingredient in collagen production this helps to give people shiny hair, strong nails and glowing skin! So get as much sleep as you can.

This Works Sleep Spray

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray

When I'm getting ready to go to bed I have a few steps that I do to make sure that I have a peaceful nights sleep and this is one of the products that I use just before I go to sleep. I have been using pillow sprays for years but this is the one that I have stuck too and have been using for a while now. This pillow spray contains Lavender which helps to give you increased time spent in deep, slow-wave sleep, Camomile which is a mild tranquillizer and sleep inducer and Vetiver which is a calming oil that helps to induce relaxation and sleep. The other thing this spray does is that it doesn't just help you sleep better but it also helps you to wake up feeling more rested and refreshed, I know that there's nothing worse than waking up from a long sleep feeling groggy. This Works tested this spray out on people and 89% of people said that they fell asleep faster which I can definitely agree with and 98% of people said they felt more refreshed in the morning! I don't use this spray every night (because I forget) but I do use it on days where I've been stressed and I just need a good nights sleep to refresh my mind and body.

Sweet Dreams Roller Ball

Tisserand Sweet Dreams Aromatherapy Roller Ball

This product has been a newer discovery for me, I use different roller ball products because I suffer from migraines and they tend to help and then I discovered this product. In my bedtime routine, I like to use this product just after I settle down into bed. When im feeling particularly stressed and restless I always reach for this product before going to sleep. This is also the product I use when my mind just won't switch off to relax. Even just the motion of using this product on pulse points (temples, behind the ears and nape of the neck but you can also apply this on the shoulders, back, wrists, legs and feet) helps to relax me and calm my mind down instantly. Some ingredients in this rollerball include soothing soft lavender, comforting sandalwood and relaxing jasmine. What I like most about this product is that it is 100% natural pure essential oils, its free from parabens and synthetic fragrances making it suitable for people with sensitive skin. Whenever I use this product I wake up feeling more awake and refreshed after a calming deep sleep.

Sassy Shop Wax Melts

Sassy Shop Wax Wax Melts*

A few weeks ago I was very kindly sent over a few wax melts from Sassy Shop Wax that promotes calm and relaxation. A few hours before I go to bed I like to put one of the melts into my wax melt burner and let it melt and the scent goes around the whole room making me feel calm and ready for bed. Some of the wax melts I received were Nag Champa & Lavender, Bedtime Baby which smells just like baby bath and Sandalwood & Patchouli Dreams. My favourite out of the ones I got was Sandalwood & Patchouli Dreams which has a gorgeous scent and makes my room smell amazing but it also helps to calm my mind and relax my body ready for a good nights sleep. I don't just use these waxes before I go to bed but I also like to use them when im having a relaxing bath or doing a pamper routine to fully treat myself. The ingredients in these wax melt help to reduce stress, promote relaxation and calms the mind and body making it the perfect product to use while winding down before bed.

Eye Mask

Eye Mask

I used to be someone who had to sleep with the TV in the background and having a bit of noise but for the past few years, I need the room to be pitch black and quiet. If I've used all of the products above I can usually fall asleep pretty quickly and be in a deep sleep but I stop at least once a night around 3 or 5 in the morning and now that it's getting light out earlier I found it hard to fall asleep until I got myself an eye mask. I love using my eye mask because it makes the room all nice and dark again and it usually helps me to fall back to sleep pretty quickly. The eye mask I have is actually one that I picked up from Tiger but you can get so many different ones online, with some being satin which is actually good for the skin around the eyes, blackout masks which means little to no light get through and memory foam which are so comfortable to sleep in!

  1. I definitely love getting my sleep! I used to wear a eye mask all the time but recently have stopped, it was helpful though although some mornings I woke up and it was just on my forehead and not over my eyes anymore. I do like trying out the pillow sprays too, the ones with lavender in definitely seem to help make me feel more relaxed when I'm trying to fall asleep. Great post!

  3. I'm such an awful sleeper, I always need an eye mask when I'm travelling. I love the whole concept of pillow sprays and rollerballs but I really hate the smell of lavender so if anything it keeps me awake longer. I need to try and find one that doesn't have it in because I love the idea of soft soothing scents to drift off too x
