While I'm writing this it is only 11 days until my holiday and I don't think I've ever been so excited! it has been three long years since my last holiday so I cannot wait to get back to the beach. It is just close enough to my holiday now to start thinking about packing (the stressful part) so I thought it would be the perfect time to share with you what skincare I'll be taking with me. In this post, I'll be showing you all the skincare items that I'll be taking with me on holiday!

Cleanser

Steamcream Cleansing Balm*

I don't really wear a lot of makeup when I'm on holiday but If I do it's usually in the evenings and that's why I need to take this cleansing balm from Steamcream. I have been using this cleanser for a few months now and I am totally obsessed with how well it removes makeup. You only need such a small amount of product because it turns into an oil quickly and then spreads perfectly over the face to remove all traces of makeup. I will also be packing this cleansing balm because I think it would be the perfect product to remove any sun cream that I have left on my face from the day sitting in the sun. I also love this product because it's small and compact and perfect for travelling.

The Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser

This cleanser has been a favourite of mine ever since I first tried it last year, I have been using my Selfless By Hyram Daily Gel Cleanser which I still love but the lid has broken so I don't think it's the best to take travelling so I'm going back to an old favourite and The Inkey List cleanser is in a smaller bottle so much better for packing. I love this cleanser because it's non-drying which is a must for me especially on holiday because the sun makes my skin dry, another reason why I love this cleanser is that it makes my skin feel really smooth and also hydrated. This cleanser will also be my morning and evening cleanser to save on space in my suitcase!

Garnier Micellar Water

This product is for my lazy skincare days (let's face it on holiday I'm sure that will be often), it is the perfect cleanser to use in the mornings to freshen up the skin and get it ready for the day ahead. I also like to take this cleanser with me in my hand luggage bag so I can freshen up on the plane because going to Jamaica is a long flight and after a few hours I feel a bit gross and using this micellar water helps my skin feel clean and hydrated. I love using this cleanser because it quickly and effectively removes any impurities off my skin and also still leaves it feeling smooth and clean, another way I'll be using this product is as an eye makeup remover instead of bringing another product with me. Being in the sun can make my skin feel sensitive and using this cleanser doesn't irritate my skin at all, it's the perfect quick cleansing product to take on holiday!

Toner

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution

I have been using this toner for over a year now and have been super impressed with the results meaning it will definitely be coming on holiday with me. I love this toner because it's gentle on the skin but still effective because it helps to gently exfoliate the skin and help to improve the texture. This toner has added ingredients of Tasmanian pepper berry derivative that reduces inflammation, as well as ginseng root aloe vera to enhance radiance and offer soothing benefits making it the perfect product to use after a long day in the sun. I will only be using this toner in my evening skincare routine because it contains an AHA that can cause sensitivity in the sun so using it in the evening is the best option. Out of all of my skincare products that I'm taking this will be the only product that I decant into a smaller bottle as I don't need to take too much away with me and I need to save as much weight as possible (for more clothes).

Serums & Treatments

Selfless By Hyram Salicylic Acid & Sea Kelp Pore Clearing and Oil Control Serum

When I was deciding on what skincare products to take with me it was hard to narrow it down because I use a few different ones at home and I didn't want to take everything with me but I still ended up with quite a lot. This serum I had to take with me because I use it on a daily basis at home. This serum from Selfless By Hyram contains Salicylic Acid, Niacinamide, Succinic Acid and Glycerin to help reduce oiliness and larger pores. I have been using this serum religiously since I got it a few months ago and I have been obsessed with the results, that is why I don't want to stop using it while I'm on holiday and end up back in the beginning. I will be using this serum in my morning routines before I go off and out for the day and I have another serum that I'll use in my evening skincare routine that I'll show next.

The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid Serum

This is the other serum that I plan on taking away with me mainly because of its hydrating properties. Being in the sun and heat all day sucks out all of the moisture in my skin and leaves it feeling tight and dry so I need to add as much moisture back into my skin as possible. Hyaluronic Acid is perfect for hydrating the skin because it's basically a moisture magnet because it attracts moisture from the atmosphere and can hold up to 1000 times its own weight in water! This serum is perfect for anybody who has dehydrated or sensitive skin and even for me who is combination-oily skin, I still need to add as much moisture as possible back into my skin, especially on holiday!

Succinic Acid Blemish Treatment

Since I started using this blemish treatment it goes everywhere with me, especially on holidays. I don't plan on using this product much (hopefully I don't get too many spots) but this product is for spot emergencies. When my skin gets in the sun for a bit it usually helps to keep the spots at bay as long as I stick to my skincare routine but I always like to have this product with me just in case. This blemish treatment is a non-drying formula that is easily absorbed by the skin and doesn't leave a greasy feeling on the skin. As soon as I feel a spot coming on I apply this blemish treatment a few times and it helps to clear the spots up really quickly.

Moisturiser

The Inkey List Omega Water Cream Moisturiser

This moisturiser is a newer addition to my The Inkey List collection and it's a cream I've been dying to try out and because of the name, I thought it would be perfect to take away on holiday with me. When I'm in hotter and sunnier climates my skin tends to be a lot drier so I need to add as much moisture back into my skin as possible. This cream is a lightweight, water-based gel moisturiser that is supposed to add optimum levels of moisture to the skin without leaving it feeling greasy or oily. This moisturiser is also rich in Omegas 3, 6 and 9 which work together to prevent moisture loss. Another ingredient in this cream is Glycerin 5% which is a humectant which is basically a moisture magnet and draws in moisture without clogging pores and also my favourite ingredient Niacinamide which helps to regulate oil production, keep blemishes away and also reduce redness!

SPF

Gruum SPF 50 Face Sunscreen

I have been obsessed with this product ever since I first purchased it from an Instagram ad, I had been searching for a new SPF for months and came across this one and thought id give it a go and since then I have been obsessed. This SPF does everything that I want an SPF to do, it doesn't leave that pesky white cast on my face when I apply it, it doesn't leave my skin feeling oily or looking greasy and it's also super affordable at only £6! This sunscreen also offers high levels of UVA and UVB rays and is water-resistant so you can wear it going in and out of the pool. I use this SPF daily and I'll be carrying on using it every day even when I'm on holiday!
