{Ad - Gifted} A few days ago a very exciting package came in the mail from Cohorted, everytime I get a package from them I get so excited to see what goodies are inside. This month I received a box full of makeup from Doucee, this is a new brand to me and I was excited to try out some new makeup.  In today's post, I'll be sharing with you my first impressions on some makeup from Doucce.

In this month's Cohorted box I received six different products from Doucce ranging from a blush to a small palette and a liquid lipstick perfect for a full face and to give you all a good rounded first impression of the products. The products I received are the Cheek Blush, Ultra Precision Eyeliner, Relentless Matte Lip Crayon, Lovestruck Liquid Matte Lipstick, Punk Volume Mascara and finally the Freematic Eyeshadow Palette. Out of all the products I got I was most excited about the Cheek Blush and the Mascara.

The packaging of all of the products is very cohesive, they all are in matte black outer cardboard packaging with clear writing of what the product is and the shade names on the top which I love. Each of the different products has its own packaging, some having a mirrored effect like the blush and liquid lipstick and some of them have a matte look to them. One thing I did notice about the packaging is they all have a nice weight to them (might sound weird) but I think that it makes the product feel more high-end when it has a nice weight to it.

Cheek Blush 69 Soft Whispers - £24

This was the product that I was so excited to try out, the shade drew me in straight away as its the perfect kind of pink for my skin tone. The shade of this pink is more of a soft coral shade that isn't too bright. The first thing I did with this blush was to swatch it, the shade swatched gorgeously and has a really soft consistency to it and wasn't chunky at all. To test out this blush I used my favourite blush brush so I know that I could really test out the blush properly. The blush applied to the skin like a dream and gave the most gorgeous flush of colour to the cheeks and has really good pigmentation. It isn't too pigmented where it looks silly but its also buildable so if you want more pigment you can apply more. This product is something that I will definitely keep using.

Freematic Eyeshadow Quad Bachelorette - £26

If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that I am an eyeshadow palette hoarder, I have collected quite a few over the years and now I'm pretty particular on what I want in a palette. Just looking at this palette the shades are gorgeous, you get two matte shades a light cream and a black and two shimmer shades, a gold and a red. Another thing I noticed about this palette is how pretty the shades are in the pan, they have a weave effect to them which made me not want to touch the shades. When I swatched the shades the actually swatched quite well and the shades looked pretty. That is when the issues started when I started to apply these shades on the lid firstly with my finger it did apply but it had very little colour pay off and there wasn't much shimmer. I then tried to add the red shimmer shade on the lid and again there wasn't much colour pay off. For this palette being £26, I don't really think it's worth it and I would much rather go for a more affordable option that's better quality.

Ultra Precision Eyeliner - £17

I am probably the only person out there that still wears black liner on their lower lash line but I love the look and I wear it like this on most days, because of this I need a liner that's creamy and applies easily to the eyes.  Firstly I tried this liner just on my hand and I was really impressed with how creamy the formula is and how easy it was to apply without it pulling at the skin. I then tested it on my lower lash line and I was really impressed with how the eyeliner applied on the lash line, it applied to a dark black straight away and even though my eyes are pretty watery it stayed on my lash line without wearing away. This liner will definitely be part of my makeup routine.

Punk Volumizer Mascara - £18

Mascara is another product that I love and I have tried so many different ones in the past that I am also very particular about what I need from mascara. I like my mascara to make my lashes look volumised and lengthened and I usually like plastic bristles instead of brushes with bristles like this one. The brush on this mascara is pretty big but when I tried it it was still able to get into the lashes and coat them with the product. The only problem was it was difficult to get the bottom lashes without getting mascara on my skin. The look this mascara gave was lovely it made my lashes look volumised but it has more of a natural look. I think I will definitely want to try out this mascara again so this was another winning product for me.

Relentless Matte Lip Crayon - £17

Lip Crayons are one of my favourite lip products, they apply easily on the lips and are usually really comfortable to wear. When swatching this lip crayon it swatched really easily and has a nice creamy formula to it and it didn't feel dry. The colour of this crayon was also perfect, it mauvy pink shade that would work with so many other skin tones. When I applied this product to the skin there was a slight pull on the lips but it still applied easily and because of the matte formula, it didn't budge. Another thing I noticed was when I had applied it to my lips they did feel slightly sticky for a few minutes but after a few minutes, it started to feel more comfortable on the lips. I will definitely be using this lip crayon again!

Lovestruck Liquid Matte Lipstick - £18

A few years ago I was obsessed with liquid lipsticks but recently I haven't been loving the matte lip look but I was still very excited about this product. This is the one product that I haven't actually tried on the lips yet but I have swatched it. When I swatched this product the lipstick applied very smoothly and with one swipe there was full pigmentation of colour. I did notice that it took a few minutes for the lipstick to dry down and when it did it didn't feel too dry. I definitely want to try out this liquid lipstick and see how it performs on the lips!

  2. Sounds like a great range of products you received in this box! I haven't heard of this brand before actually. Shame the eyeshadow palette didn't give much payoff in regards to the colours. The colours are so pretty too! x
