I have oily skin, it has improved over the years from my skincare routine but I still get an oily T Zone and chin throughout the day so making sure my foundation is oily skin-friendly is a must. I have also tried a lot of different foundations with a lot of different finishes and I have found my favourite foundations that are the best for oily skin and that I'm going to share with you in today's post!

MUA Pro Base Foundation

Out of all of the other foundations on this list, I actually think this is my favourite out of all of them. I first tried this foundation as soon as it came out because it was really affordable at only £5, has a matte finish and has a full coverage finish which is everything I want from a foundation. This foundation applies and blends out on the skin really easily and it has a matte finish but it doesn't leave the skin looking cakey or fat but it has more of a velvety finish to the skin. The main reason why I love this foundation is that I can have this product on all day and my skin doesn't appear too shiny or oily and that is without needing to powder throughout the day. Another reason why I really like this foundation for my skin is the coverage, this foundation has a full coverage finish so it conceals the skin and covers most of the texture and pores on my face super easily and without any dry patches. If your on the lookout for an affordable foundation that can handle your oily skin make sure to check out this foundation.

Estee Lauder Doube Wear Foundation

I definitely couldn't write a post about the best foundations for oily skin without mentioning Double Wear. This foundation has been my holy grail long-wearing matte foundation for years. There are many things that I love about this foundation but the thing I love the most about it is how long-wearing it is, having oily skin can usually ruin how long a foundation lasts looking good on my skin but not this foundation. I have applied this foundation in the morning before work, worked a full day at the salon and then gone out for dinner afterwards and my skin still looks amazing which is a miracle if you have oily skin. This foundation does have a matte finish but it gives the skin more of a natural matte finish so your natural glow still shows through the foundation so you don't get that cakey look to the skin which can happen a lot with matte foundations. This product is more on the pricey side but it is definitely worth the extra pennies!

L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24Hr Matte Foundation

Out of all the other foundation on this list, I would say this is the most matte looking finish if you have very dry skin I would probably stay away from this foundation because it can cling to dry areas, that is why whenever I wear this foundation I make sure I have a nice moisturised base. I would recommend this foundation to people who have very oily skin because once this foundation is on the skin it doesn't budge. I usually wear this foundation when I know I need it to last like if I'm going on a night out (I can't even remember the last time I went to a club) or if I need it to last all day. This foundation does claim to last 24hour which I have to admit I have not tried but it definitely has a long-lasting formula. Another reason I really like this foundation is that even though it's a full-coverage matte finish it does have more of a natural second-skin-like finish which I love.

Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation

This foundation is slightly different from the others on this list because it has a demi-matte finish meaning that it has more of a natural look to the finish and lets the skins glow show through the foundation. I have included this foundation on this list because it is an oil-free, lightweight and buildable formula so when you have this foundation on it feels like you have bare skin. Even though I have oily skin this foundation lasts on the skin all day and because it's not a full matte finish it suits more skin types. Another reason why this foundation is on my list is that it doesn't settle into any line of cling to dry areas meaning its a perfect foundation for oily skin but also drier skin!

  8. I really like the sound of the MUA Pro Base foundation. I'm not normally one for foundation as I find I just end up looking like an oil slick but I'll have to give that a go - such a bargain too!
