2022 Beauty Favourites!

 

After taking the month of December off I am back and ready to get stuck into blogging again. Now that 2022 is over and a new year has begun it is time to have a round-up of all of my favourite beauty products from 2022. Last year was a great year for beauty, I found a lot of new products that have become apart of my daily routine and I have also found some holy grail products that I had to share with you.

Zara Applejuice 

In 2022 I finally discovered Zara perfumes (I know im late to the party), I hadn't tried any perfumes from Zara before 2022 and I missed out. Over the hear I have tried 4 different Zara perfumes and my favourite has to be Applejuice. My favourite perfumes are always quite sweet and fruity and that is how I would describe this perfume, it is described to be a a fruity floral scent that is perfect to wear during the spring and summer months but I have actually been warjnf it all year round. This perfume does have a sweet scent but it is also very delicate so it isn't too overwhelming when wearing it. For an affordable perfume the smell lasts all day, I usually wear this perfume during the day and if I spray it in the morning I can still smell it after a long day at work. I usually go for more expensive perfumes but trying out these perfumes from Zara I realised that you don't need to spend a lot of money to have a good quality perfume that smells great. I can't wait to try out more Zara perfumes to find more favourites.

LYS Beauty Higher Standard Satin Matte Cream Blush 

I first got this blush for my birthday this year in September. I made a Cult Beauty haul, I saw this blush while scrolling through the website and I had to have it. In 2022 I became obsessed with cream blushes, I would say for the majority of the year I was choosing to use cream blush over powder blush, I love the way that it added illumination to the skin without needing to wear added highlighter. This cream blush is literally perfect, I don't say that often about makeup but I have truly found a holy grail in this product. I like to apply this with a stippling brush straight into the product and then applies onto my cheeks, this helps to blend out the product onto my skin effortlessly and it blends out like a dream leaving my skin looking fresh and rosy checked. The shade I got in this blush is a deep mauvy shade that I feel compliments my skintone perfectly, this product is quite pigmented so you only need a small amount of product to get the right amount of blush. This blush is also very buildable so if you, like the more pigmented look then you can apply more and it will still look great! 

Selfless By Hyram Daily Gel Cleanser 

2022 was the year that I got the chance to try out products from Hyrams new brand Selfless By Hyram, I was sent a full range of products and out of everything I tried one product that stood out to me and that is the Daily Gel Cleanser. I have been using this cleanser every day for months and it's still going strong, I only use a small amount of this cleanser in my morning skincare routine and since then my skin has been improving every day. I have quite problematic skin, I get spots and it can be quite oily but since adding this cleanser into my routine I have noticed that my skin is improving, it is not appearing to be as oily, I can tell this because I don't need to powder my skin as much thought-out the day. I can also tell that my skin is improving because the blackheads on my nose are a lot less visible than before. I like this cleanser because it doesn't make my skin feel tight after using it and it also effectively removes any traces if makeup left on my skin. The only one issue u have with this cleanser is the packaging design, the lid broke on the product only a week after having it so some of the product gets wasted but apart from that im very happy with his cleanser and will be using it throughout 2023!

PS... Wonderlash Mascara 

I have been a fan of Primark Beauty for a few years now but only recently have I tried their Wonderlash Mascara which is only a whopping £3! I have used a lot of different mascaras in the past, some I love and a lot I hate but that means that I am now very particular about what mascaras I like. I like my mascara to make my lashes look thicker, longer and more defined and that is exactly what this mascara does for my lashes. I have tried mascaras 3 times the price of this one that aren't as good as this one. When I apply this product it doesn't clump up my lashes but still leaves them looking thicker and longer, wearing this mascara I have really had people ask me if I was wearing false lashes! Another thing that I love about this mascara is that I can wear it for hours and it flake away on my skin and it also doesn't smudge around my eyes. If you are in the lookout for a new affordable mascara then definitely give then one a try!

CaraVe Blemish Control Gel 

This is one of the newer products that I've added to my list this year, a few months ago my skin was having a terrible time, I would get spots a lot and I didn't know what to do to help it so I stript my skincare down to the basics and introduced a new moisturiser and that was this one from CeraVe. I haven't tried much from CeraVe in the past but when was researching for a moisturiser that is good for problematic skin and this one came up a lot so I definitely needed to try it. This moisturiser contains some of my favourite ingredients to help with problematic skin, Niacinamide and Salicylic Acid, the formula penetrates into the pores to eliminate the causes of spots and breakouts while also protecting the skin's natural skin barrier. I have been using this moisturiser in my morning skincare routine for a few months now and have been loving it. This product is different to anything I've used because it isn't a lotion or cream consistency it is a gel so it goes onto the skin and is instantly soaked in leaving the skin feeling soft and moisturised without looking or feeling greasy. 

MUA Satin Sheen Lip Stylo Heroic 

Throughout the whole of 2022 I was in the lookout for the perfect pinky nude lipstick shade and I think I found it in this product. I tried this lipstick when popping into Superdrug and saw that they were doing their 3 for 2 deals and I needed one more product so I tried this one and then fell in love. Over the years I have tried a lot of different nude lipsticks which I like but don't love but this shade is just perfect for my skintone. It isn't too light and it also isn't too brown so it's the perfect nude shade that can be worn the during the day and then also with a bit of a darker lip liner and then this on top makes the perfect evening nude lip. I also like the design of this lipstick, it's thin sp it's easy to apply and the consistency feels more like a balm than a lipstick which I love and its super affordable at only £3.50. I'm looking forward to trying out more shades throughout 2023!
